Great place to walk with family, friends and on your own to clear your head. Breath taking views especially at dawn and dush with very good and usually pretty clean beach. Toilet facilities at carpark....only complaint is it should be better sign posted and the entrance/exit to the car park is dodgy so be careful if driving. Great walk either... More

Great little place for a walk along the beach! It was wet and windy but that did not detract from our visit!

What I love about this place is that it's not far from the centre of Bangor but has a totally different feel. There's the 'downtown' marina for a more cosmopolitan vibe and this bay for being more towards the great outdoors. One side of the bay leads to the town and the other leads to nature.

Always has been, always will be, great site for kite surfers and other water sports. Would be great to camp down there as well.

Beautiful safe beach but ridiculous regulation for dogs probably due to a few former offender. All of the dog owners we met here were lovely people who kept their dogs under control and cleaned up after them. Shame there are so many dog-haters in Council admin jobs

Really love this place, but the dog restrictions are a complete joke. Its a place of natural beauty that every member of the public should be allowed to share in!

Dirty and unkempt, dirty and unkempt, dirty and not worth the visit. What else can I say? Dirty... Move on down to Orlock point

Really not the most exciting place in North Down to visit, good for walking dogs and can be a pleasant walk on a nice day but not a great 'seaside' beach.

Not where I would take children on a lovely day. I would be concerned about glass in the sand and the water is not always clean. The presence of uncontrolled dogs was formerly a big turn off but this has been less noticeable recently, although there are still many dogs on the beach without leads , regardless of the restrictions...
