My husband and I visited here at the weekend and really enjoyed it. Admittedly we feel it is perhaps more of a family attraction but we still enjoyed the show and the battle game! The 3d effects are fabulous! We also enjoyed a light lunch afterwards and a walk up to the monument. Definitely worth a visit!

An amazing experience. Set at the site of Scotlands victory in 1314, this is a fantastic attraction, suitable for all the family which really brings history to life. You can re-enact the battle using computer graphics where, on a games table you can direct your troops, plan strategy , choose weapons etc. The kids were enthraled by it. So where... More

There has obviously been quite a bit of thought put into this exhibition, however the process itself is quite confusing and it's hard to know what you're supposed to do and what you're supposed to be looking at. The battle room is visually impressive but can become quite chaotic when you trying to see what's happening on the battleground. The... More

Although we had previously visited this attraction, it was some considerable time ago and the visitor centre has been completely revamped since. We hadn't gone in 2013 (the 700th anniversary of the Battle) for several reasons so it was great to finally arrange to get there on the first anniversary of the centre re-opening. Although we had seen the advertising... More

Went here on a Saturday with my wife. The new building looks great with friendly staff in the reception. We felt it was slightly expensive for what there was to see. There were lots of computer generated images to see but wasn't sure what to look at first and interactions with some of these were slightly confusing. I never took... More

I cannot recommend Battle of Bannock burn highly enough, if you could tick above excellent I would. With two kids aged 6 and 4 it can be difficult to keep them interested. This does not happen here not just with the attractions but the care and time given by every member of the team. Welcomed by the reception team who... More

What a great review THANK YOU. We are so delighted that your children loved the exhibition. Our staff also would like to say THANKS. Please do come and visit us again at Easter for our trails and in the summer when we will be running some activities outside. More

I brought three of my grandchildren on the 13th birthday of the oldest. Their school was closed but it was not a general holiday, so we were the only customers. Nevertheless we got a first rate experience from the staff - with a splendid explanation of the uses of some very real-seeming armour, a very exciting 3D virtual experience of... More

It is always a pleasure to read that grandparents and grandchildren enjoyed visiting and taking part in the game. We have as you stated worked hard in presenting as accurate a representation as we think is possible. We think that even those who would not wish to play the game should visit to witness the immersive 3D experience and learn... More

Totally amazed at how good this center is, we felt it necessary to pass on our gratitude and thanks to all the staff. We wanted to visit the Lovely statue of King Robert the Bruce today but due to the cold snowy weather we sat in the car for a bit and then decided to venture into the new looking... More

I'll preface my review with a couple facts. It was a childhood dream of mine to visit Scotland, and it was within my first couple hours that I arrived at the visitor's center. I also did not go inside the center, I just wandered the grounds. What I can say, the sun was starting to set and the mist was... More

Thank you for visiting the site where Robert the Bruce planted his standard before he faced the might of Edward II’s army. We are delighted that you had time to pause and reflect at the monuments while taking in the views. It is a pity you did not venture inside the attraction. Our cafe and retail area are open to... I can only imagine that the NTS think that visitors are too thick to read. I have never come away from an attraction with such a sense of disappointment. A gimmicky naff 3D film/game thing where a man told us to tell him to "Smash the English!" or "Smash the Scottish" and then he played with his computer for a... More

Having read your feedback we are extremely disappointed that you did not enjoy your visit. We have spoken to our Battlemaster concerning your complaint. The exhibition is recommended for children aged 7 plus. However, many families have do bring children under the age of 7 and have proved to have a great time. We appreciate that you feel the 3D...
