Its difficult to present history in a fun, interesting way for all ages, but this place cracks it! I'm an NTS member so didn't have to pay but it did seem a bit pricey, over £30 for a family and it only takes a couple of hours at most to get around everything. I didn't try it, but the food... This was my second visit to bannockburn but first time since the new visitor centre was built. Took my Explorer scout group [age range 14-17 girls and boys] for a visit. They all really enjoyed it the 3D show joining in the battle game and dressing in the battle gear. plenty to keep them all occupied , all the staff... More

We took my 2 boys (9, 11) along with parents for a morning out and were really pleasantly surprised. The experience was well organised and our guides very knowledgeable and amusing. T The first stage is a 3D experience, learning about the battle and the key protagonists involved. you are surrounded by screens and did feel immersed in the events.... More

A wonderful experience at this super facilities. From the youngest to the oldest, there is something to do and something to learn. This is an attraction not to be missed. The facilities are first class and the staff are absolutely fantastic. Very reasonably priced which is a big decision factor when you are a family of six.

Took our 14 year old grand-daughter to visit; great experience; warm welcome and explanation of what we would be seeing. Ther re-enactment was great fun - although the English won this time! Young man who oversaw this was great fun and very knowledgeable. Will take our younger grand-children next time as there is a great dressing up room for them

A fantastic afternoon spent learning about the battle of Bannockburn with 3D images of battles taking place, films for the whole family and we took part in a virtual battle between Robert the Bruce and King Edward and their armies. Brilliant fun. Our game master Ned was a legend, making it such fun for all the families who took part... More

We stopped by late in the afternoon. We were still offered free activities for the kids. They loved dressing up in the armour. Then up to the monument, this made me feel humble and gave the kids massive amounts of energy in the wide open space. Took loads of great pictures. Next time we go we will be taking a... More

Popped in on a whim and glad we did, despite being nearly closing time the staff were lovely and allowed us to take in all the sights. We didn't venture outside but watched the introductory videos (lovely stop-anmiation and nicely illustrated) and then went through into the 3D display. Absolutely excellent! I've worked for a lot of heritage venues and... More

The new visitor centre is very informative, and the the 3D experience and Battle Show were well worth it. An enjoyable 90 mins.
