Its a beautiful place to walk and enjoy the countryside. Easily accessible from town. A beautiful place for a wedding we attended
The castle is a ruin since the fire of 1793; the free audioguide does its best to fill in the missing bits. On a hot Sunday afternoon it was a pleasant place to sit and do the filling in.

The history of this place is incredible and well put together for visitors!
Wandering around getting the feel of the old walls. The kitchens are the star of Cowdray and we had a cookery demo (baking on a griddle) by two enthusiastic volunteers. Pleasant walk through water meadows to the entrance which would be delightful save for the litter and dog droppings.
we had to look around outside as the it is closed to the public until March, but lovely setting

The sign on the gate was misleading as it referred to the ruins and walled garden and restaurant. We paid the entry fee only to find that the gardens are under separate management and entry was not included in the £8 entry fee and they were not open, Neither was the restaurant which is nearly a mile away and not...
