I found this on the internet and as I was planning on going to Southport I decided to pay a visit. It's only £4 for an adult to visit and you're given a quiz to fill in as you go around for a chance to win a WH Smith voucher. There's plenty to see and there are trains running around... More

Make sure you see this before 4pm as that is when it closes in even in the height of summer. Train and lots of super models and a gift shop too.

I visited with my family on an august afternoon. The grounds are well kept and the village itself is lovely. The kids really enjoyed the activity trail. The staff were really welcoming and made sure our visit was excellent. It is reasonably priced and you can enjoy a cheap drink in the cafe. Prices: £4 Adults, £3.50 Children, £3.50 Concessions,... We visited the model railway village simply because we were passing and it looked fun. My entire family - myself, my husband, and daughters aged 2 and 3 were absolutely entranced and delighted with the beautiful model village and railways with such lovely detail. Actually, my husband and I would have stayed for hours but the children wanted a paddle... More

Cost £11.50 for the 3 of us. Its not massive but there are lots of small details to look at. Its made better for the kids with an activity sheet, so they have to look for stuff to then complete a puzzle at the end which gives you the secret word. You get entered into a competition for free tickets.... More

Thoroughly enjoyed visiting and highly recommended. Young kids will enjoy watching the trains and plenty of seating to enjoy the different views.
