on a golf trip in July with my 16 year old son (he plays off 3) Played both saunton courses and Burnham and berrow but inbetween played Ilfracombe. Lovely course with great views and as others have said a very unusual start with a 5 3 3 3 5 5 first 6 holes. Was a great course to play and... More

My partner recently played golf here and said the views are breathtaking and the meal afterwards was just lovely with extensive menu. Staff extremely helpful.

A course that's in good condition. Not long, but tricky; especially when the wind blows. It's a friendly club, a warm welcome waits. The greens are well maintained. There is rarely a flat lie, And the views are stunning...you see the sea from every hole. Worth a visit.

A pretty challenging course, especially when the wind is up. Very beautiful views, especially from the first 6 holes. Unfortunately, the course layout is not to my preferences, as it starts par 5, 3, 3, 3, 5, 3 - as weird a layout as any I've seen. There is also one hole which requires you to walk back up the... I liked the views and challenges of the course but not so enjoyable as it's very sloppy throughout the course

Whilst I am not a "Golfing Enthusiast" my wife Inge and I have often eaten at the Ilfracombe Golf Club. Their Sunday lunch gives a very wide choice of "carvery meats" and vegetables and yes one should book beforehand. We have always found their Sunday lunches popular and their caterer/chef Dean Richardson and staff always make everyone most welcome. Their... More

Made very welcome by caterer, Dean Richardson. Very efficient and friendly service. Good lunchtime snacks, wide menu well cooked and presented. Plenty of it and very reasonably priced. Bar staff had to cater for large funeral party and were astonishing at multi tasking. In spite of peak demand our waiting time was short. Nice well filled omelettes. Look forward to... More

We had lunch before playing the course. You get plenty of food and it is well cooked. You need food if you play the course as it is very hilly and challenging

Very nice and friendly club, a warm welcome and beautiful views, it's a bit hilly so buggies are useful

Great course, very friendly and great views. There was plenty of room for the medium to high handicapper although the breeze does make it a good test when it does blow.
