I rented one of the cottages with a couple of friends for three nights. We found the cottage to be clean, well equipped and the surroundings very pretty. Unfortunately, we never got round to a tour of the Manor but enjoyed the facilities of the cafe and wandering around the gorgeous gardens.

We happened upon a brochure for Chambercombe Manor and thought we would give it a go as it was raining on and off. We arrived just as the first tour was due to depart. There were just 3 of us on the tour so we really had the undivided attention of the very knowledgeable tour guide. She provided a very... More

This was our second visit to beautiful Chambercombe Manor, it wont be our last. We stayed this time in the hayloft which is roomy and modern with all that you could want from a holiday let. The grounds are restfull and peaceful, well worth a little walk around. The house its self provides an interesting tour with plenty to see... More

We didn't do the Tour but wish we had but still enjoyed a relaxing walk round, we were the first ones in that morning. We took some photo's, one of which was a bit strange!! there's definately... We usually come every year to Chambercombe. Some times we go round manor which is a fab place to see and look round but mostly we go for the lushious cream teas that they do!! Highly recommended ;-) The staff/tour guides are very friendly and helpful and couldn't praise them more. I would definitely recommend a visit here even if... More

Today we were welcomed into this ancient Manor House. It has rained on and off all morning, and we were wet and dripping. On arriving has a group of 30, we were spit into two groups, and the guides with each party, amused, educated and in some cases scared some of the group. Their knowledge was great. The Tea room... The lovely gentleman in the "little" gift shop where you pay for the tour was very polite, friendly and informative. A little gem. We went on and guided tour and our guide was brilliant... easy going, making you feel very comfortable and alloeing questions to be ask. The information that he was giving to us was entertaining and interesting. He... More

What a wonderful happenstance to find this lovely house. High above the Harbour, you approach the house via an unprepossessing estate. Down a woodland drive and there it is. My first reaction was that is seemed little more than a friends extended house, however that was to prove to be very misleading. The house has a truly ancient history, from... More
