Felt the chill!

The tour guide was excellent, steeped us in history, quirky facts and spookiness in equal measure and the cream tea was lovely!

We stayed in one of the Manor House's cottages. We were extremely pleasantly surprised by the location and comfort of the accommodation. The cottage was very quaint and well furnished. There were 4 of us in our party and we had plenty of room. We did not see or experience any ghostly presence! The grounds are pleasant to wander around,... More

We really enjoyed our visit. People manning the ticket sales and cafe were extremely friendly and lovely to talk to. The guided tour was brilliant, the guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots about the history and included lots of ghostly stories too. Although I didn't see/sense anything my husband definitely did!! We are so pleased that it is... More

Great atmosphere and an informative guide. Well worth a visit, especially if you like haunted houses and ghost stories!

A warning to HHA members - this place only admits HHA members on Mondays and Fridays, other days it is £9 each!!! We are local and decided to support a new venture but refused to pay as there had been no publicity advising of the limited access for HHA members.

Always a bit of a risk taking two under 10's on a visit that is mainly for those with an interest in history. The ticket sales and cafe were a bit disorganised and we needed to be patient, but as the place only seems to be preserved and open to the public because of the efforts of a group of... More

My husband and I and our dear friends from London booked an overnight stay in the Manor House after we took them to visit on a day tour last October. We all enjoyed the tour so much and Sue who helps run and take care of Chambercombe manor trust told us that they had started to do overnight stays and... More

A wonderful old building with a long and dark history. There is a spirit not at rest, that of a young girl who had an untimely death her presence can be felt by those who are receptive to these super natural events. if fact the local newspaper send a repoter to film the room where the girl died and he said... I am a big fan of Chambercombe Manor so when we decided to head there for my birthday weekend again I was very happy. We had been to a previous paranormal event and won two free tickets. We stayed in the little cottage and it was lovely and packed with everything we needed. It is not warm but turn the... More
