I visited the house with 3 friends of mine two of which are very into the paranormal. Our tour guide Lesley was fantastic with a mixture of history and ghost stories. We did encounter some strange goings on in the house, Felt like someone kept blowing on my neck, really cold spots on the back of my legs with the... More

My wife has visited the manor three times now and insisted I took a tour with her. We enjoyed the charm and charactor and stories about the history of the families who lived there. Especially of the smugglers and wreckers at the bay and of the secret tunnel under the fireplace. Only downside was a high entry price of £9... More

The volunteers that help here certainly know their historical facts. Lesley, who was our guide was great and gave us the option of having all the ghost stories with the history. You can't go to the most haunted house in Devon without hearing about the ghosts! You can go on an unguided tour on certain days, which is obviously cheaper,... More

Went here last June (2014) a good guided tour. Lots of information on the ghosts. I very interesting place & history. But a bit of advice. I was with my 42 yr old Son, he has mild learning difficulties. We did the tour came out to walk around the gardens, lovely cloudy day. "I don't believe in ghost he said"... More

We spent about an hour and a half here, though you could easily stretch that to two or three hours with a visit to the cafe, shop and a leisurely walk around the beautiful gardens. We had an excellent guided tour, which we were allowed to join late rather than have to wait for the next one. The guide was... More

We went on the Sunday guided tour 26.04.15 and had a lovely time. Our guide was very helpful and full of local knowledge. Some people have seen 'ghost/spirits' in the house. Myself and husband did feel a presence around us, and were very impressed by it all. Highly recommend

The tour guide was excellent, steeped us in history, quirky facts and spookiness in equal measure and the cream tea was lovely!

We stayed in one of the Manor House's cottages. We were extremely pleasantly surprised by the location and comfort of the accommodation. The cottage was very quaint and well furnished. There were 4 of us in our party and we had plenty of room. We did not see or experience any ghostly presence! The grounds are pleasant to wander around,... More

We really enjoyed our visit. People manning the ticket sales and cafe were extremely friendly and lovely to talk to. The guided tour was brilliant, the guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots about the history and included lots of ghostly stories too. Although I didn't see/sense anything my husband definitely did!! We are so pleased that it is... More
