Well worth a trip back in time to see the hewn-out safe beach for "ladies", while the men could bathe naked on their rougher beach round the corner. However this week after Easter the toilets and shop at the end of the tunnels were both closed. If there was a notice at the top saying that there wete no toilets... More

The history of it was fine but the beach nothing to go mad about as it was covered in shade even on a sunny day. Café and toilets were good. Bit overpriced.

These beaches are so special. Maybe not the prettiest, it's a bit like being at the seaside on the moon but they are just great! So much for the kids to discover and the natural pool means safe fun in the water too. There may be a fee to enter the beach but you get clean toilets, a nice little... More

Just come back from a wedding here. Could not fault it the venue was fab and it helped that the weather was on our side. The food was the best I've had at a wedding in ages, so much choice and so fresh ..

Hadn't visited here in years but it made for a nice change to our usual beach visits. Going through the tunnels to a beach is fun and there are plenty of boards with information on them about how the Victorians used the beaches. Once you are on the beach there are plenty of rock pools to play in and you... More

We visited on a cool but sunny Easter day. Everything is very well kept including the cafe toilet and changing rooms With a swell running mid tide was great for photography. Exploring and swimming is best for the lower half of the tide

Very well kept and informative. Spent a good hour or so here enjoying the surroundings and exploring in the rock pools. Great that you can come and go all day.
