Fascinating visit writings on the tunnel explaining about the people the site etc. There were separate beaches for the male and female and details of the swimming instructor and events that happened on both beaches

We had an amazing wedding at Tunnels Beaches. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and the views are amazing. Staff all brilliant, so friendly and helpful and make planning your wedding a breeze. We had a ‘Meet and Greet’ the night before at Cafe Blue Bar and had a quiz and Gourmet Fish and Chips with all of our guests. This... More

Excellent views of rocks cliffs. Although raining still a very enjoyable day out. You can even swim in the lagoon if you are brave enough to withstand the pelting rain and cold.

When we first visited Tunnels Beaches we were blown away by the stunning venue and fantastic beach and knew we had to have our wedding here. Both of us are relaxed people and we didn't want anything too formal and the great thing about the venue is that it's a blank canvas (albeit a beautiful one). We had almost no... More

Just returned from THE BEST WEDDING EVER! Thanks for the invitation to attend the wedding of Steve and Kate at The Tunnels Illfracombe, not somewhere we would have known/visited otherwise. Fantastic attentive staff, not overpriced bar, lovely food - biggest BBQ I have ever seen. Registrar thoughtful but not overbearing. The Bride's entry from the tunnel and through her guests... More

What a fabulously professional team you make! From the chef and the fantastic managers and owners, to the lovely ladies and gents who served us on our special day, the whole day was an absolute, well organized wonder! We were incredibly impressed with the calmness at the venue, the kind welcome we got when we came to visit in April... More

lovely place to swim in safety and quite unique. No café or facilities in October but we were allowed to use the deck chairs free of charge and lounge in the sun sheltered from the wind.

I was not sure what to expect especially as you have to pay to get to the beach but I found it enjoyable and fun and well worth the cost. As you get to the tunnels there is loads of information on how they were used in the 18 and 1900 , very interesting. You then enter the tunnel and... More
