It's a vineyard there is a small shop and a workshop out the back the guy gives a 40minutes talk about process no actual working machine it gets very boring for the children but great for adults who love wine as there is a free wine tasting too wines were a bit pricey for us though

We were at a loss as to what to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon in August so having checked out a few recommendations we decided upon the vineyard. So glad we did. A not so hidden gem of the island. Friendly, knowledgeable owners and staff, live music, good food, great wine - you could ask for nothing more except... More

Having spent a couple of beautiful and relaxing days on a warm beach at Whitecliff Bay, we were at a loss as to what to do on a rainy morning. We decidied to try Adgestone Vineyard and took a cheap taxi there. It was pouring with rain as we arrived, but the whole setting was absolutely idyllic. We recieved a... More

We visited on a very hot day in July, we got the local bus and walked a about 20 minutes to get to it. If you head to the roman ruins and walk up the small path at the side of the field, turn left at the end when you reach the road it is much quicker but only if... More

It is quite along walk from the main road to the vineyard approx 20 minutes walk. There is a charge for touring the vineyard so I am not sure what the free admission means. Is this to the shop and cafe? We didn't do the tour but had a quick look round and bought some wine from the shop as... More

Hello Tracey & Steve. Thank you for your review. Admission to the vineyard is indeed free so I don't agree this is misleading. In addition everyone that comes to the vineyard is invited to taste the wine and liqueurs for free. We have live music every Sunday in the summer which is also completely free of charge. We do offer... More

This small vineyard may be tiny compared to the industrial sites found abroad but it produces a superb dry white wine, which displays a well rounded and refreshing oaky taste that would go well with all the usual chicken and seafood dishes that good quality white wine goes with. The Blush was good also, with the red maybe a little... More

Having previously visited this lovely setting for a wine tasting I was keen to show a friend and enjoy a drink and light snack . Although the wines were quite average and a little I pricey (IMHO) I heard they had new owners and was keen to revisit ... We took the walk down from the scenic view point ,... More

Hi Scott, thank you for your review. It is clear that the rating you have posted is indicative of the upset you feel rather than a reflection on the quality of the wine or level of service we provide. We wholly share your disappointment at not allowing dogs and as individuals are not at all anti dog. However, having been... More

I have lived within a short walk of Adgestone for over 6 years, yet today was my first visit. It will certainly not be my last. The welcome was SO warm and friendly, we were offered tastings of the wines and liqueurs and we enjoyed a delicious, unhurried light lunch. We were amused by the antics of the hens pecking... More

Adgesone vineyard is a delight, it offers tours and tastings as well as a shop and cafe. I enjoyed the wine tasting very much as well as a welcome coffee after. The vineyard is hidden away and you only appreciate the row after row of vines when you look upwards from the car park. It would be hard to find... More

We visited here twice, once for the tour and tasting and then we went back the next day to buy a personalised bottle of wine and a vine. The tour was excellent, very informative and just the right length of time. We enjoyed tasting the wine and look forward to drinking the blush wine this weekend. We had a nice... More
