A lovely step back in time. Very comfortable seats. Thought the musical, "Carousel" was a bit dodgy in content, but the theatre is lovely. Enjoyed a tub of Manx ice cream during the interval.

Excellent night's entertainment, wonderful atmosphere, Mandy Griffiths was excellent, all the favourite musical items played. The theatre visits are excellent, The Gaiety is a classic Frank Matcham theatre (he was to theatre that Capability is to gardens), it's great to get a look behind the scenes/

A classic Frank Matcham theatre from about 1900 which has been sympathetically restored. The Gaiety is in regular use and "behind the scenes" tours are run frequently. It's a really beautiful theatre with a busy schedule and an enthusiastic group of volunteer supporters. Really fantastic to visit and enjoy.

A must do if you want a look back in time at a really fascinating old theatre that is still in use now. You are allowed on stage, below stage and then a walk up to the 'Gods' to see not only how high up you sit but also to visit the restored projection suite, one of only a few... More

Today we went on a trip around the theatre. From the basement to the gods. We saw all the trap doors and how they work, to the beauty of the stage and auditorium. We found out where it was best to sit, saw the dressing rooms and that the stage slopes. We went up and saw all the old film... More

We were on the IOM for a week and before we went I checked to see what was on at the Gaiety Theatre and it was The Phantom of the Opera. Having seen it a couple of times before in London and New York my expectations were not high but I have to say there was very little difference in... More

I need to have a normal chair as I find it difficult to sit in comfort in the chairs when watching bands in the villa marina if the staff are informed when booking they make your visit to them smooth and without embarrassment I was treated with respect and not mention to feel uncomfortable by all staff

I've appeared on the stage, worked back stage, constructed and painted sets, worked the fly floor and worked follow spots, plus seen numerous shows and explored the place from above the grid to below the stage. Last show was Phantom. Best show in months was Fascinating Aida. The Victorian plasterwork and gilding is highest quality, the stained glass centre ceiling... More

A superb tour of the theatre conducted by someone who knew his stuff. We enjoyed this more than anything else during our visit to the IoM. A must and good value.

Has been leaving for about 3 years and ish and never had the time to go in the tours provided.Place full with history, having the chance to go on the stage and under it. Always has been wondering about the trap during a show. Now I know it. Lovely experience. Highly recommended.
