Our hotel was at the north end of town & our walk up Summerhill Glen was great fun. It is lit up at this time of year but although not lit when we went, too early in the day we had great fun spotting all the figures that would be lit. It is an easy paved walk & very attractive.

During a recent visit to the Island for the TT we used this Glen to walk down from the Grandstand to the seafront. I would love to see this Glen at night when the lighting is switched on. We loved looking for all the little fairy doorways in the tree trunks.

For those who don't believe in fairies, this is the place to come, since many of them live here, and you can easily find their small homes. But, finding the fairies themselves, requires patience and a lot of faith. The glen is tranquil and beautiful; a few steps to deal with to get in, but well worth taking time out... More

Nice glen with illuminations to take a stroll through at night...make sure its gone a bit dark though. Path can be a bit slippery after rain. Kids will like it.

This is a lovely glen, at Christmas when the fairy lights are on it's enchanting and great for small children to see to get them all excited for Christmas. In the Summer it's equally as pretty.

I have walked through Summerhill Glen many times and think the lights are an absolute wonder. My husband had a photograph of the Glen put on a 3ft x 2 1/2 ft canvas courtesy of a fabulous photographer called Ben Birdsall who is only 16. Check out his Facebook page and look at all his photos. You won't be disappointed

On a trip back to my homeland, friends and I found a nice winter evening to wander through the glen, the Xmas lights were very good, thrilled lots of children. I would also have been happy to pay a fee to visit.

Both of us are oldies but spent a very enjoyable hour plus, wandering around this gem. Don't know if it's been added to for Xmas as some lights are on that theme, but I would have happily paid for experience

I took my two children down the glen last night for the first time and when the lights came on it was fantastic, the new lights are great and the children (3 and 6) had a fabulous time!!! Do do visit one evening if you have young children - very magical for them!
