The buses are reliable, timetables are precise, vehicles clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful, polite, friendly. But get a GO EXPLORE card to really take advantage, ours had 5 days travel and access to nearly all museums - amazing good value.

We had a five day Go Pass which covers all the buses and trains on the Island. They are easy to use and well worth it.

No need to use taxis. Buy a day pass from the Welcome Centre in Douglas and other locations, then you can use the card for bus, electric tram and steam train plus the horse drawn trams on Douglas. Useful timetable booklet foc from welcome centre and other locations. Gives details of all services.

The buses were very comfortable, especially the single deck buses. Always appeard to keep to time. The steam train was a bit of a "bone shaker" but was an experience.
