During the summer the legendary "Best of the West End" production is staged plus a first class play and, of course, the year would not be complete without the annual Pantomime over the Christmas period. « less

the theatre itself is nice but the entertainment not spectacular, I have mobility problems so the entrance which is a lot of steps going up, and the person that came to explain the show did not say what a hill it was to get there then the steps going in then the stairs to the balcony then 5 steps up... My husband and i went to Shanklin theatre earlier in the week to see Ken Dodd. The staff are friendly and welcoming, we have seen some truly memorable shows at this delightful theatre, prices are always good value, there is a small car park at the side, but a much bigger public one just a stroll away. Do go and... More

I have just recently seen Steve Hewlett and friends at the Theatre and was disappointed to see such a small audience for a great show. Steve is a very good ventriloquist and brought all his characters to life, from Arthur Lager to Simon Cowell and baby Eric. He had to work so hard to get the crowd going and we... More

Our first visit to Shanklin was enhanced by the visit to this lovely theatre to see a comedy, Passing Strangers. The staff were very friendly and helpful - there seemed to be lots of volunteers who obviously were very committed to the theatre. The tickets were very reasonably priced as were the drinks in the bar. A slide show of... More

Good acts, with a good variety. Staff made you feel welcome. No car parking. Auditorium a bit spartan and lacks atmosphere.Cafe feels cold, a bit of bright paint & some pictures could perhaps make it a little bit more cheerful. Could be a nice theatre with just a little bit T.I.C.

Saw this show on Thursday 3rd July and it was outstanding!!! The cast of 10 plus the supporting orchestra were amazing and should be very proud of the production which was equivalent of a 'West-End' show. Everyone deserves praise and hopefully stars of the future have been made. A truly enjoyable evening and my friends all said the same. Well... More

Just returned from a show given by Britain's Got Talent finalist ventriloquist Steve Hewlett. A really entertaining evening, not just for kids. Sadly, it was very under supported. So many empty seats. It must be disheartening for the performer, as well as all the dedicated volunteers who staff the venue. This lovely old theatre has been lovingly restored and deserves... More

Excellent show on Friday eveing. Seems their programme is excellent with quite a few big names visiting. EG Elkie Brookes, Theatre is a little dated and in need of a clean and tidy up outside. Seats were comfortable, décor needs a freshen up inside too.

Don support this it is well worth going to see something there and so important to keep these little jewels of entertainment going. At £12 a ticket we saw an amusing, well acted and directed play. Keep it up and good luck for the future.
