If you are expecting west end venue then you will be disappointed, if you are expecting a small up close and personal performance by some very, very good artists with a sweet shop booth in the foyer! You will love this place, plus, you can take your drink (plastic cup) into the show, all good!

Myself & my sister recently went to see The Levellers at Shanklin Theatre, although I have seen several different shows there in the past. We stopped by the Box Office to collect our tickets first, and then after a quick drink at a nearby pub, went into the theatre. There were plenty of staff (who I believe are all volunteers??)... The Theatre has improved brilliantly over the last few years, so much of the work done by volunteers. Always looking for new ones I believe. Most of the Theatre has been renovated and funds raised by sponsorship of seats, amongst other things, our family have three!! The entertainment on offer is excellent, Ken Dodd kept us there until gone midnight,... More

Thank you Den Clare for your wonderful review of Shanklin Theatre, we really appreciate your recognition & praise for our Volunteers & Staff, without the continued support of our loyal customers and sponsors the theatre would not be in the strong position that it is now, once again we thank you for your continued support. We loved the Christmas Pantomime. What a great little family theatre producing an excellent show for the amusement of all ages. Despite there being a majority of over 70s our three year olds, 6 year old and nine year old LOVED the show and the audience participation. None of them fell asleep.

Shanklin Theatre is a great venue for many various artists, including local amateur plays, also great acts, one of which I recently saw, Elkie Brooks, her voice is even stronger than when I saw her three years ago at the Medina Theatre, Unfortunately the seating is not perfect unlike the Medina, because if you have a tall person in front... Having lived on the Island for a number of years, I am ashamed to say I have never been to Shanklin Theatre before last night where I went to see Ross Noble. The theatre is a beautiful building with the inside being very warm, clean and welcoming. It is not unsimilar to some of the theatres in Birmingham (my home... More

We were spending the weekend in the Isle of Wight and found the Mowtown experience running at the Shanklin theatre. To our surprise, the theatre was well organised, the performing group did a splendid job and we returned with a pleasant experience of the complete event (an unplanned one whilst touring the isle), totally worth it!!!

Having not been to a pantomime for probably 65 years I was unsure what to expect. It can be said that everybody had a great time,The cast of Aladdin were very accomplished in their performance having good rapport with the audience getting everyone involved.I enjoyed every minute. It was pouring with rain outside which made the foyer congested during the interval.

Our New Year is not complete without a visit to the annual panto at the Shanklin theatre. This years production of Aladdin was excellent and full of energy and fun. The script is very clever incorporating modern songs which the kids love whilst maintaining the strong traditional spirit of pantomime. The cast were great and bought the whole stage to... More
