This attraction is described in 'where to visit' leaflets in the most romantic, glowing terms. In reality, I found it to be a walk along a ravine and little else. I entered the chine at the southerly end and was met with the most unfriendly, disinterested woman at the payment hut. She did not utter a word. There was no... More

Nice attraction, been twice, this time taking my daughter, who at 7 was not as impressed. Typically describing it as nothing but pathways and bridges. It didn't help that we saw no chipmunks, But on the whole well worth a look. But you get the sense they could do so much more with it. Treasure hunts for children, would be... More

The stapf were very good feeding us when it was past restaurant closing hour, food excellent with good variety, and served with great efficiency and cheerfulness. The staff were very tolerant and appreciative when the Choir of I am part of burst into song. Excellent location with a good view

We were at the top in the Old town and thought it would be a nice walk down to the front but the cost was terrible for what it is you cant really say rare plants and waterfalls. One little waterfall at the start then nothing, wish we had saved our money and gone by the road. We would of... More

The chine was good value for money and we enjoyed a good hour or so walking around and taking in the phenomenon that is a Chine. We went on a rather wet day in September so it wasn't heaving, but it didn't feel abandoned either. I recommend having a chat with the parrot towards the end of the walk!

Interesting to see all the negative comments, I can only imagine that the people posting them didn't look around and see the beauty about them. This is not Alton Towers or Disney, there are no rides or massive gift shops. There are some beautiful and natural features, plants, birds, red squirrels if you're lucky and a very interested piece of... More
