We were staying at nearby Thurston Manor and Belhaven Beach was a short drive away. We walked over the salt marshes from the John Muir Nature Reserve to Belhaven Beach. We were blessed with good weather and the wide expanse of beach was breath taking. Our Whippet was in seventh heaven - zooming round the sands and charging through the... More

A great beach for paddling, playing, kite flying, swimming, surfing, walking, lazing about. Although it all depends on the weather. Have been a few times and it has been quite windy (great for kites). Plenty room for everyone as it's a large beach in the bay. Check the tide times as you can get cut off quickly as it is... More

A great beach with miles of unspoiled flat sand but beware the tide can cut you off. This beach is quite a walk from Dunbar but there is parking ...though you now have to pay for this so park in the local roads nearby sadly the council has jumped on the "Ripoff Britain" bandwagon.

wonderful and impressive scenery and nature. Bass rock right here (if there is no fog at the moment) and good for a stroll and recreation from busy city life

The bridge to nowhere is unique, as you cross it there are miles of golden sand and you can walk over to East Links Family Park the walks around the woods are an adventure for children. There is also the cliff top walk from Dunbar to East Links around Winterfield golf course.

Great beach-very peaceful and great for children to bathe, play on the sand and have picnics. When the tide is out many small "puddles" of water for children to play safely. Visited this beach on holiday when I was a child 50 years ago and still gives me the same pleasure seeing my grandchildren having the same enjoyment I had.

I have been coming to this beach since I was a toddler with my cousin and her husband, I'm in my late 20s now and I've introduced the place to my husband who loves it now too and I still love it as much as I did then. It's kept clean and the place just gives me a sense of... More

Lovely and quiet the dogs loved it and so did we. Had a holiday cottage in Dunbar for the week and this was a lovely hidden gem. We will go back for our cuppa by the sea with the ghillie kettle. Can't wait

Acres of clean sand which is never busy. Good private areas if dunes at the West end of the beach. Very open when there is a wind!

Great for families, couples and dog walkers. Lovely stretch of beach and well worth a visit, used by surfers and water sports enthusiasts regularly
