Beautiful

Lovely beach, always clean and litter free. About 1.5 miles in length. Can sometimes watch the surfers, stand up paddlers and kite surfers. Great on a cloudy or a sunny day!

this beach looked excellent place to take our dog for a walk on during your visit to Dunbar. However we couldn't cross the bridge as the main part of it is made of a metal grate which our dog couldn't walk on as sore on her paws.

wonderful sandy beach that stretches for about half a mile, with lots of shells to collect and a great place to take the dog for a walk. People ride on the beach and there is a surf school in the summer months. there is a sand bar behind which the dunes collect salt water at high tide a haven for... More

First Visited August 2013 and several times since, most recent in June 2014 Bellhaven Beach is just outside of Dunbar on the East coast of Scotland. It’s easy enough to reach using your sat nav because there is a kids adventure playground nearby which gives you a postcode. I would, however, check an online map before you go just so... More

Once you're on the beach this is magical. Wonderful place to be and you can walk as little or as much as you like. Clean and safe too. Only downside is the awful bridge you have to go over to cross over the river which flows onto the beach - it's horrible anyway for humans, steep and awkward - even... More

I am blessed to live so close to this beach - one of several around Dunbar This one is unique in it's size and it's permanent 'river' feature - you cross a bridge, known as 'the bridge to nowhere' and is possibly one of the most photographed sites in the area, to get to the main beach or of course... Even in February it was great just to sit and watch the tide come in. So relaxing. So easy to walk there from Dunbar.

Beautiful sandy beach and plenty of cliff top walks leading to a lovely little fishing harbour. Lots of shops and cafe's and award winning public toilets. Dunbar has it all.

The beach is access from a free car park on the west side of Dunbar. A river separates the car park from the beach. There’s a footbridge over the river, or you can paddle through it. The river bed and banks are stony but from then onwards it’s about two miles of sand: loads and loads of it. The beach... More

I'll confess that we had never heard of Belhaven Beach until we visited in November 2014. The beach is about two miles long and on the day we visited there was hardly a soul on it. The dog absolutely loved the walk and we will return the next time we are in the area. I'll remember my trainers next time... More
