We only visited the transport museum as it was a rainy day. Fascinating journey through time. Nicely laid out. Cafe for light refreshments available.

This is a large facility, and we only had time to "do" the town section. The buildings were beautifully kept. The interior displays did a great job of drawing you in to the life of the times. Docents were wonderful.Had a nice lunch at the cafe.,

I was working on my MA dissertation using the archives a the UFTM and I would really commend the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. Without their help in the sound archives, I would have been lost!

Went on Friday afternoon. The transport museum is great, been a few times, ventured down the hill to the Land, Sea & Air attraction, mixed feelings on this as in the whole it's worth a visit, but a lot was closed off for refurbishment. This was not mentioned by the cashier. I would still recommend for a day out &... More

This is a visit to the past and through the history of Old Ireland. There are attendants throughout the walk to tell you stories and show you the workings of the small village. Everything from thatched roof houses to an early fully operational printing press, to a master basket weaver . There are short plays and an area to see... More

I love wandering around the folk park, quiet country lanes, interesting buildings to recreate the past and also friendly staff in the various shops, houses etc offering insights into the past. The transport museum is excellent too, especially for a rainy day with two young children - they love going, so do I.

This is really two separate museums - the transport museum which is a more traditional series of galleries packed with classic vehicles, trains and buses, and the Folk museum which is essentially a rebuilt village, a couple of mills and a couple of farms, all as they would have been around the time of the first world war. As a... More

It's one of those places that no matter how many times you see it. There's not much change. On that note, it's advised that you maybe call up and see what's on. Food is very overpriced but the baked goods are to die for!! Bring your own and sit in the many lovely places to eat. Worth the visit all... More
