This would have been a five star rating if it hadn't been for the slightly run down De-Loreon on show. For such a locally iconic car they should have had a better version. What made the day were the rest of the exhibits and the fact that they have genuine Titanic items, unlike the "official" museum just down the road.... More

On our last day in Belfast, we took the train to the Ulster Folk Museum. We loved it! They have brought all types of old buildings from around Northern Ireland and reconstructed them all in one location (a few are reproductions). They have created a small village with many of the buildings (churches bank, sweet shop, post office, etc.) and... More

While visiting Belfast in October we went to the Ulster folk and transport museum and had a wonderful time there. So many things to see, houses and shops from days gone by, with knowledgeable people telling about life as it was in bygone times. A sweet shop, a bank, a printers, a weavers house, a school, a church, various other... More

Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised and loved the full experience. Unfortunately due to time we were unable to see much of the transport museum. This is a full day out I'm planning on going again next time I'm in Belfast.

This is a must see place on a recent trip to Belfast we took a day out to visit both venues, the folk museum is very well laid out aand authentic even down to the people in period dress who demonstrate there particular trade, eg a blacksmith, basket maker , a lady making bread over an open fire and a... Brought my family who now live in Bristol to the park last week along with my other grandson. It had been years since I was last here and the improvement was amazing. The kids loved all the usual things, the print shop, the basket weavers and of course the sweetie shop. We had our lunch in the tea shop and... More

The Ulster Folk & Transport Museum is truly amazing. Normally, I do not like to spend too much time in folk museums, but this really grabbed my attention for a long time. Walking through the buildings and different rural parts was very educational. Also seeing the very small accommodation which families had to live in made me realise how lucky... More

The grounds around the folk park are beautiful, particularly in autumn. The staff were very friendly and happy to pass on information. Walking around one thing which struck us was the difficulty in working out what buildings were . Similar museums in America have clear signage (numbers which relate to the map or written descriptions) but here although the buildings... More

This was a great day out for three generations of our family. Plenty to see and do and touch! It's not the kind of place where your only allowed to look. We loved being able to wander all over the village and in all of the rooms of the houses. The tea room was a very welcome break and the... More

Nice day out, plenty to see. Not many staff around and not great customer service. Some interesting exhibits. Very good toilets facilities throughout the park but only one place to eat or drink. Good value for money. I think more attention to detail needed, around giving people more information or having people in some of the houses or more story... More
