I am local so I pass through Victoria Park several times a week. There are some times of the day when this is a very pleasant experience and times when it isn't. There are good facilities for teenagers with a skate park but they tend to abuse it by leaving lots of litter around (more bins maybe?), the childrens play... More

Close to hotel, the park was not unattractive but seemed neglected, needing more care of the gardens and rubbish. Also seemed to be used as a cut through. A pity.

This is such a lovely park with lots of green space which is well enclosed so children can play without getting close to the road there are streams and a small pond with swans in we spent quite a bit of time here just sat people watching and will definitely visit again

Not up to the standard it once was, this large park is run down in places. The place is getting a reputation for late night muggings too and the police are warning foreign students to stay away in the evening.

Yes it's a park and there's nothing special about it... or is there? You walk through and there's a tennis court, a woody pond bit, table tennis, play park, pond, ducks, seagulls (unfortunately) , its really quite surprising how much is there and also they play football there which entertains the kids a little. A family orientated park. Take a... More

A nice park that is great for a walk around, however in the summer it can get rather busy. The park has good facilities ( cafe, skate park, play area for younger children etc.) and is a worthwhile visit for both young and old.

Plenty of shady trees, including lime trees in full blossom, a bridge over the river and a pleasure to walk through en route to town.

We only walked through the park during the evening as we were staying in Garfield Road nearby. It is lovely and green but with wide pathways so that there is plenty of room to walk. Loads of places to sit and look at the peaceful scenery. Great little park.
