Finaly a memeber of Paignton Zoo - whoop! I love this place, from a smal child to now in my adulthood, i can't think of a better place to visit when in the West Country. We visited Paignton Zoo on Sunday 31st May. It was quiet and great weather to spend the day there. There were so many different animals to see! It is set out in different zones with different trails to walk around making it interesting to discover all the different animals the zoo has. I wouldn't buy a guide at the front... more

Paignton Zoo is a delight for both adults and children alike. They have a wide range of animals in very spacious enclosures which are skillfully blended into the landscape. Paignton Zoo is an excellent zoo. There are lots of animals and all are in large enclosures and well kept. The zoo which is situated in Paignton is easier to get to with or without a car & is good value for money , easily a days visit. Paignton zoo is very interesting place to visit. We were staying in Teignmouth when we decided to come & visit. We caught a bus from The Triangle to Torquay Harbour, here you change buses. Theres usually one which drops off at the zoo direct, it's an open top bus which stops at Paignton bus station before carrying onto the zoo.... more
