Really coming on after the storms. They are doing a lot of work. Although it is not finished yet it is not unpleasant and is worth a visit. Take plenty of 2p

Went to Paignton Pier last week whilst on holiday in Brixham and it was ok, but nothing special. Just nice to walk along and see the views from the pier.

A nice enough pier but all that was there were gaming machines. and we all know the noise they create. Perhaps this is what people want from a pier but to me it lacked nostalgia and was disappointing. Wonder if the local council had any involvement with the piers function and if so they lack any foresight. The pier could... More

Nice pier, good selection of games in arcade. Good choice of food and drinks. A selection of children's activities are available alongside using the beach. No charge to use the pier which is great especially if you have a large family.

Lovely pier. Think you should charge 20p per person - it's free! The 20p could be collected towards its upkeep.

the whole pier is set up to spend spend spend. the whole of it is taken over for an arcade, with a few food places selling tat and ice creams.

Not much has changed here over the last few years, still a decent extensive arcade with some of the best games in Paignton, and a few more children's activities at the end of the pier. Free to go in and a good hour or more can be spent here on a rainy day.

It's pretty enough, but not exceptionally long. Sadly but probably driven by economics almost all of the pier is occupied by an amusement arcade and various kiddie rides etc.

Myself and teenage son spent an hour or so in the amusements and it was a bit of a trip down memory lane as we used to come here regularly when he and his sister were young. The music was very loud which I think was a bit unnecessary and the prizes on the 2p nudge machines were to big... More

By no means is Paignton just about the pier. It's a lively sea-side town not unlike many others around the world. The beach is fairly big (at low tide times) and great for a day out of sun & sand. There are beach chair rentals, lots of nearby food shops and washrooms. Between the beachfront road (closed in the summer... More
