I can't recommend this place highly enough. I visited on a wet weekend in October with a tough crows to please, namely 3 sons aged 14, 12 and 7. They absolutely loved it. Why? We have visited the DLI many times and although the exhibitions are rarely changed what is there is really good for both old and young. The grounds of the museum are also great being a nice place to walk around during summer.

I visited the museum with my 84 year old father the staff were very friendly and helpful. The exhibits tell the history of the DLI with real accounts which brings it to life. The uniforms and medals are amazing. We did not visit the gallery. The cafe provided welcome refreshments with homemade cakes
