Durham Cathedral is outstanding., From the moment you walk through the doors it's just breathtaking. Your breath is also taken from climbing the tower! The way to experience Durham is to arrive by train and walk. The distances are short and we were amused to see people struggling to leave their cars somewhere so they could enjoy this historic town. more
