There is nothing like the atmosphere of an indoor market.A vast variety of stalls, take you're time to look, and there is something for everyone, with prices to suit all pockets.

Funny little market with all sorts in there. Always like to just have a look around. There's even a very good shoe shop right at the back with some good quality shoes.

When you walk into the market it is a lot bigger than you would expect and the range of stalls is amazing. There's is everything from watch repairs to a fish monger. I love the café in the marketplace, they offer excellent value for money. You must visit if you are looking for something a little different,

There's a butcher a baker but no candlestick maker as the rhyme goes. Durham Indoor Market is a great place to wonder -even better when it's cold and wet as it is undercover and warm. If you are shopping for fresh food then there is a good fruit and veg stall .a good fresh fish stall and an excellent cheese... More

This is a nice little indoor market in Durham. It's just after the bridge over to the town centre and on the way to the town centre. It's near St Nicolas Church at the Market Place. There is also a café upstairs that looked nice and with reasonable prices. If you have some time in Durham it's worth a visit.

This is a good old-fashioned indoor market full of character and packed with interesting stalls. It makes a refreshing change from the usual boring mixture of shops that are encountered in every high street throughout the country.

Visited here a few times and it's different to the ever changing face of Durham both modern and historic. The market offers something different to shoppers and is undercover. It is situated in the city market square. Worth a walk around.
