Second time now at Westwood Ho and have enjoyed both visits. Lots of walks , brilliant for surfing, with a lovely beach. There are some great eating places and some great places to visit nearby.

Long long beach great for families, kiting, parasurfing (is that a thing?) and lots of happy dogs (except high season). Loads of space, a pebble ridge to shelter from wind and Clotted cream ice-cream from the van on the prom which is one end of the beach, with loos and small town amenties

Westward ho is a lovely little coastal town with a selection of bars, amusements and eateries. We took a walk out in March when the sunshine was out and it was lovely, beach was quiet so kids could have a run around and of course the famous hockings ice cream vans had just come back out so we had a... This was our first time visiting this part of the country and we were not disappointed ! We stayed in the Ocean Park apartments and they were absolutely fantastic 😃. We were a couple of minutes walk from the Promenade which was full of restaurants, local shops and the golf course (it is huge). We brought our two teenagers and... More

We've been coming to NDSS for years for lessons, equipment hiring, refreshers, technical advice, weather and surf predictions, you name it. We cannot recommend this place more highly for Justin's (the owner) outstanding tuition and team. From tots to teenagers to errr, 'middle aged and hopefully beyond', they will make you a better surfer at any level. The team is... More

Living locally we come here often, it's just so lovely. Thirty years ago it wasn't such a nice place but now it's so much improved. It's crowning glory is the beach, this week I came for a birthday outing and couldn't have picked a more perfect day. It was a beautiful sunny morning and when we walked up over the... More
