Rustic, fresh and clean, vast expanse of space! Ideal for a picnic - be careful of the sheer drops!!

We came here for the first time and were amazed you can take dogs and let them run on the beach beyond the lifeguard hut (via Northam Burrows), The beach is clean and gently sloping, with clean warm water. At the back of the beach is a steep pebble hill (LARGE pebbles!). The car park is £3.50 per day and... More

Safe beach, plenty of family-friendly bars and restaurants, stretches of the South West Coast Path to explore, all manner of accommodations, a couple of small supermarkets for the essentials and usually, a bracing breeze.

This place is beautiful , if we could have stuck our accommodation for another week we would have stayed. The beaches were wonderful and shallow slopping , the ocean was warm and clear, the locals were friendly and welcoming. The rock pools were full of life ,with some nice surprises as well. I know I sound like the tourist information... More

Lovely place - called in on way from Atlantic Village (never again!). It was just a nice, picture postcard sort of place to have a look around and just chill for a bit.

We come here a lot as you can take dogs and let them run on the beach beyond the lifeguard hut (quite a way out, probably better to get there via Northam Burrows), we walk right to the end of the beach then back along the edge of the golf course, our dog loves it and is always tired out... More

We visited here with our two young children, it was nice to see that westward ho wasn't a tacky seaside resort like Weston super mare has become. Our 1 year old daughter loves the beach and beachfront amusements. We all sat and enjoyed a bag of warm donuts breathing in the sea air...brought back childhood memories.

Westward Ho has undergone a transformation in the last few years with new housing developments and landscaping the center of the town. There are now many good places to eat, some with lovely sea views.

flat so easy walking. The beach is uncomfortable for sitting when the tide comes in as it's all stones.
