The house, its' contents, the grounds and the carriage museum were wonderful. In addition there are some lovely country walks available. A haven of tranquillity in an otherwise manic world.

The Grounds of Arlington Court are extensive and beautiful. The house is full of wondeful art works, shell collections and model boats. The Carriage museum is a great collection of various historical modes of transport. We loved the walk through the woods surrounding the grounds.

Smallish National Trust property, with quite wide selection of collections, including sea shells, and best of all a huge collection of model boats, many of them sailing ships. Carriage museum was interesting. Food was unexceptional with high prices.

Thought we would try it, joined the national trust whilst we were there so got in free. House was great, lots to see, batcam was a bit confusing and not staffed, shop was good, restaurant clean and tidy, food was limited as it was February and only open for half term but what we had was nice and the staff... Fabulous grounds to wander around in and a beautiful house to explore. Lots to learn about with regards to Sir Francis Chichester and his ancestors and a walk around the carriage museum was indeed very interesting. The Speakers gold coach was something else to behold. Great day out and well worth a visit.

This is a must for families. Children love the gardens and walks with space to run and let their imaginations run riot. The cafe is reasonable and the carriages are great to see and to learn something about the history of them. peacocks strut around the park including pure white ones, which I have never seen before. The house is... More

The house is very interesting and shows a variety of antiques and the collection of a sea-going family related to Sir Francis Chichester . The grounds provide some fine walks and views and the coach house is a must . This contains the Speakers gold coach .
