Ive always enjoyed a visit to Arlington, partly due to its locaility to my native north devon but mainly because there is so much to see and do. Our last visit was May bank holiday where local produces were on display, so enjoyed the tastings on offer and the sheppard dog display. The main house and gardens is always a... More

If you want to see the house, the gardens and the carriage museum, I would advise setting aside the best part of a day. There is much to interest everyone here and the staff are very helpful at pointing out things that you may have missed.

We were lucky to visit Arlington Court on a beautiful morning and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the gardens and parkland. The carriage museum was certainly worth a visit and seeing the highly decorated Speakers carriage was a bonus. The café offered a reasonable range of snacks and drinks and the finches entertained us as we sat outside enjoying our drinks.... More

Our trip to Arlington Court was made really memorable by the very helpful driver. He took my husband (who uses crutches) around the estate and specifically to the carriage museum without his help he would not have been able to get round at all. Thank you so much Anna-Stina Ponsford

Whilst staying in Barnstaple we drove out to the Arlington Court which is run by the National Trust and the National Trust Carriage Museum which is housed in the stables of Arlington Court. The house was excellent and the walled gardens were lovely. The carriage collection was well layer out with a description on what type of person would have... More

We spent a wonderful day at Arlington Court and Carriage Museum. The grounds were delightful and we enjoyed the Lake walk which took us to the Carriage Museum which was extremely interesting and which I could have stayed in all day. The house was owned by the Chichester family and there were a lot of interesting collections regarding the naval... More

What a great day out, we were lucky with the weather and started our day with the lake walk. Then we visited the coach collection, we thought this would take 20 minutes or so but there are so many coaches and all with such an interesting history, I would say that this was my favorite part of the day. The... More

Lovely welcome at reception, pleasant staff in tea rooms. Nice circular lake walk. Shame about one volunteer in the house who was rude, patronising and claimed we were uneducated when we asked her a simple question.
