Mid week break

One of the nicest National Trust properties I have visited. The Carriage Museum was superb and the grounds a delight to walk in.

We have visited Arlington Court many times and appreciate being able to take our dogs for long walks through the grounds. The carriage museum is fascinating. This time we were delighted to find that the woods had been embellished by knitted and felted flora and fauna - great fun spotting bats, flowers, snakes and all sorts of other colourful new... More

Went to Arlington twice in 3 days as weather wasn't good for beach. Loved it as dogs able to visit too except in house. Carriage museum very interesting and gold state coach is breath taking. House has lots of interesting items especially Mr Leotard who magically turns somersaults.

The house is decorated as the last owner left it. Many amazing and beautiful items to see with the house set in far ranging grounds. The flower terrace and vegetable gardens are a delight. You may also visit the National Carriage Museum which is worth the entrance price alone. Knowledgeable staff can talk most interestingly about the numerous exhibits.

a complete family estate held by the Chichester family for over five hundred years. The collection consists of treasures for all tastes, from model ships ( masses of them1) to shells, collected over several generations. The house itself, built in 1823 and extended in 1860, has an austere facade. However, inside the cosy rooms have a homely, family atmosphere. The... More

We didn't get to spend a lot of time here as arrived to late so had to rush around the museum and house and didn't get to explore the gardens, but from what we did see it was lovely. The carriage museum very interesting, it even interested my 16 year old son which takes a lot. We don't live near... More

Visited Arlington Court on a fairly grey/damp typically English day. Very pleasantly surprised. The house itself is well worth a visit - beautifully displayed and all the staff were both informative and friendly. The carriage museum was the icing on the cake - again well presented, informative but really interesting for all age groups. Lots to see. Because the weather... More

This was a wonderful days outing. The house was very well maintained and full of historic furniture and fittings. The carriage Museum was fascinating and the highlight was the Speakers carriage. The gardens we well cared for and we spent several hours wondering in the grounds with our dogs. The café/restaurant provided an excellent selection of food and beverage.
