Despite visiting on a damp day, this outdoor attraction was beautiful and very enjoyable (with an umbrella and wellies). The Carriage museum was interesting and the gardens very relaxing. There are a number of walks of different lengths and difficulty to spend hours exploring. The cafe caters for gluten free and dairy free diets (at least in the cakes, were... More

We had a lovely visit to Arlington Court on Sunday. The weather wasn't fantastic but we still enjoyed our day. The walk down to the bottom pond is worth the short walk to hear nothing but the leaves blowing and the birds singing. A visit to the tearoom for a cream tea to round the day off was also welcome.... What a fantastic day out this was. We enjoyed everything at Arlington court and had a lot of fun. We started off in the walled gardens which we're very impressive, we then went up to the church which was very calming and interesting, next we looked at the amazing carriages which we all enjoyed and I wasn't overly excited to... We came here during a stay in Westward Ho!. The children had so much fun building dens and exploring that we came again! It is a lovely place to visit with a nice variety of activities and walks. The house and gardens were beautiful, the staf were friendly and helpful and the cake was delicious. What more could you want... More

We really enjoyed our visit to Arlington Court just outside Barnstaple. The house had a wonderful feeling to it - it was interesting and attractive and felt homely despite its grandeur. What made a real difference to other NT properties we have visited were the information sheets in every room - they were a cut above the usual and the... More

We visited as NT members because we were in the area. The house is lovely, full of model boats and also some lovely silver in many places (if that is your interest). But the real surprise was the carriage museum. We were not sure what to expect, but there are many examples of carriages there and for a couple of... More

We went to Arlington Court on our National Trust membership. The striking thing about the inside of the house is the staircase,a beautiful wooden staircase which I could imagine ladies gliding down in their long dresses. There is a carriage museum here with the golden carriage that was used for the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer as... More

Having paid 10 pounds to get into this place, I was def not impressed. What did we actually get for this, well we got to look at some old carriages along with inside the main hall. All of which were not that brilliant. A lot of the inside bit was closed of due to lack of staff. The catering side... More

We were staying in Croyde Bay and this was one of the only national Trust places in the area. As national Trust members we enjoy going during the summer as they put activities on for the kids. Arlington was great the kids loved it. I have 4 ages 10, 2x8 & 4yrs. There was something to do for all ages... More
