Although it was a little disappointing that the house was covered in scaffolding for our visit, we still felt that the £10 entrance fee was reasonable considering you get to see inside the house, the carriage museum and the gardens. The shell collections inside the house are a must see, and also the Speakers State Coach up at the carriage... More

We were the first people through the gate at 10.30am on a beautiful June morning. We followed the map and walked all around the grounds down to the lake which was well worth it ( a little steep in places so wear trainers). The house was interesting as was the carriage museum. We bought some lovely runner bean chutney from... More

As a last minute decision we visited Arlington Court - and we were so glad we did. The House is wonderful, full of eclectic treasures - and the attendants were very knowledgeable about the house itself, the previous owners and the contents.

It was a wet day but we managed to keep out of the showers as there is a lot to see undercover. On a dry day you could look further around outside.

Ok so outside the main house us not the most stunning, and currently covered in scaffolding but inside a gem. Rooms laid out well and some super artefacts that had been collected by owner. The carriage museum worth visiting and grounds are v attractive

Had every thing from beautiful gardens / great house and good helpful staff and you were allowed to take the odd photo. The food like all National Trust is very expensive so we take our own food.

A beautful warm, sunny day when we visited so the gardens were very pleasant to look round. We were kindly taken to the part we wanted to go to in a special vehicle which was on hand to help people with mobility difficulties. The cafe was full and with only two staff on duty trying in vain to cope with... More

There is so much to see and do here. The house is lovely and the carriage museum is well worth a visit. There was also a hunt for knitted animals and flowers scattered around the woods - great fun

The last owner had a bit of a seashell infatuation but lots of beautiful things to see and lfabulously decorated rooms. Shame the exterior is under scaffolding at the moment - I'd like to see the exterior another time. The carriage museum is amazing - the Speaker's carriage is so over-the-top! Good day visit.

The house and gardens are well worth the visit but the National Carriage Museum was far more interesting than I had expected. This is partly due to the insight the carriages give to the social history of the time but there's interest too in the craftsmanship and the technical developments. There's a pleasant circular walk around the estate too.
