Although we only did the cruise from and to Lakeside, it was a great thing to do and to see the lovely scenery. Would like to have taken the whole lake cruise if we had more time and on our own. Ideal to be outside decks (when not raining) as inside can feel stuffy.

Ours was only a 35-minute cruise from Bowness to Lakeside, part of a day's coach trip, but enjoyable all the same, We went on the top deck and saw some good views of the shores between far eastern tourists blocking the view, taking photos of each of them in every combination. We doubt they saw much of the lake. It... More

Went on the red cruise to Ambleside enjoyed the trip the boat was comfortable. The captain gave you information on the landmarks along the lake. We got of the boat at Ambleside for 3 hrs then got another boat back it was very nice and good value for money.

A great place to visit, boat cruise around the lake, plenty walks with your dogs, some lovely shops, plenty food outlets, and great views, can get busy, as this area is very popular, parking can sometimes be a problem, but overall a very pleasant visit, we will be definitely be back. one very important negative, lack of loo facilities, the... Captain knowledgeable and told us some interesting facts. Nice jaunt round the lake, enjoyed it! No wow factor but a pleasant outing.

We purchased a 24 hr ticket late Saturday afternoon and did all three cruises, plus the lakeside railway at the southern end (not in price), before it expired. This was a very pleasant way to see the lake in its full extent.

A lovely relaxing cruise is just the ticket! We stayed in Ambleside and used the cruise boats to get around the area. There's offers to be had too! You can combine the entrance fee of some attractions with your cruise price to save money. The cruises operate on a regular basis allowing you time to hop off when you wish... More

A pleasant way to pass the day and let the Lakeland scenery pass you by, but, there be many a shortcoming to this company and its craft... The worst part is the first part - waiting on a cold, windswept and all too often rain-soaked pier - if joining at Ambleside or Bowness. On our day - only the two... More
