Visited Ambleside and decided on a whim to go on a cruise on Windermere. We picked the cruise to Brockhole which took about 20 or 30 minutes. The staff are all very friendly and helped those who had a little trouble walking down the steps to the boat. The boat itself has an indoor and outdoor section so if the... More

This is a great attraction, travel between different parts of lake windermere this can get busy in the summer months but plenty of boats and times to choose from. Staff are very pleasant and knowledgable. Most gave a shop/bar on board to enjoy a drink and the wonderful views

What a fantastic day out my family and I have just had, we arrived and took the train and boat combined ticket. What great value firstly you take a steam train followed by a boat trip up to Bowness or Ambleside with either town fantastic to visit. But the views are absolutely outstanding and worth the trip alone. This is... More

Friday special was great value for money. A dull showery morning but being on the boats allowed us to relax and take in the scenery. We took the boat to Lakeside and back to Bowness then onto Ambleside where we had tea and scones by the waterside. I feel they could have a better commentary on the boat. The trip... More

It was a good trip to lakeside. Couldn't enjoy the surroundings and sceneries much due to heavy rains. We could have enjoyed a lot if it was a sunny day.

We went on the yellow cruise to Lakeside. It was reasonably priced and you could combine your ticket with the train or aquarium in Lakeside. We got off at Lakeside and got the Fell Foot Ferry across to the other side. It offered great views of the lower end of the lake.

Brilliant day fantastic views expensive ticket but were on lake all day so felt price justified! Regular ferries and we had freedom of the lake ticket which offered full flexibility so visited Bowness, Ambleside then went bavk to Lakeside where we started.

Took the redcruise from Ambleside waterhead to bowness and return. The views are really good and its a round trip takes around 75 mins. The announcement/commentary wasnt that great as it was barely audible. But I think majority of the people just want to enjoy the views. You can buy drinks and snacks on board.
