A very good experience

We are three maltese friends who took the day hop-on hop-off cruise. It was a nice experience and visited the Brockhole visitors centre, Ambleside, Lakes Aquarium and Wray Castle.

Great time out . Staff very friendly and the scenery is just stunning . You can get off the boat at your destination or just stay on the boat for a round trip

We combined the steam train and cruise to bowness ticket. Loved the boat trip across Windermere. Would recommend as a fantastic day out whatever your age.

Friendly helpful staff and comfortable boats made this a great day. Travelled from Bowness to Ambleside and Wray Castle for a lovely walk. Well worth it.

Visit with family, all adults. Not a thrill ride by any means but very relaxing. Good to get a different perspective of the scenery.

We come on the cruises quite often as we are free (privilege cards) and have brought various people on the cruises. From booking to boarding to sailing, the whole process is easy and enjoyable. It's lovely to set off sitting outside then move inside for a drink when it gets cold and windy. The staff are brilliant and chatty, and... More

My score is purely for the cruise company and not a reflection of the overall experience. I bought a freedom of the lakes ticket for my family for £50.00 with the intention of taking 4 or 5 trips and really exploring the whole area. We parked at Bowness (£7.50) and proceeded to the lake which was a 5 minute walk... More

Enjoyable trip on the boat went with hubby and 2 daughter's. We did the combination trip with the steam train not much at the other end so stayed on train on the way back. Queues quite long but boat holds about 300 + passengers so no probs getting on. Cost £50 ish for 4.

Had a lovely day out on Lake Windermere over the bank holiday weekend. As we were staying in Barrow-on-Furness which was nothing like we imagined for 'the Lake District' it was a breath of fresh air to spend the whole day in a place so nice. We booked the cruise on the Saturday and got the first cruise on Sunday... More

Did this on a rainy/overcast day and it was still beautiful! Lush views of mountain scenery, secluded bays and many islands to cruise past. We took a self driver boat which was hilarious and so much fun! The lake district is beautiful so definitely recommend taking a boat ride or a cruise out there.
