We received free half lake cruise tickets as part of a Living Social deal for the B&B we stayed at. At £10 a ticket I'm not sure we would have paid separately so I'm really glad we got the opportunity as part of our voucher deal. It was a great experience - obviously cold for January! But sitting inside it... More

Came in mid january. Absolutely freezing weather but fantastic. We did the blue cruise I loved getting the history of certain buildings. Would definitely do it again

Liked. Bringing back old memories, the stunning beauty, the birds.not the children screaming around under no control. Spoil it.

On time, great service and with fantastic views. They are very friendly and pleasant and all the way a long you get a little history and information. The captain was a really nice bloke who gave is many hints and tips about the area and seemed to really enjoy his profession

Though it was a Sunday, we were luckily in time for the last cruise across Lake Windermere. As expected when you go on a boat cruise along the lake on a January, it was very breezy. There was commentary on the history of the lake, even though just a 45 minute journey, lots of details and knowledge to learn. For... More

Great views and cosy warm on the boat. We left Bowness in the morning, after one day before we were told that the ship might not sail, due to the weather conditions. When we were supposed to come back, there was a short delay due to the frosty and windy weather. But staff was great and did their best with... More

Thank you for your lovely review and five star rating. The weather certainly has been a bit chilly & challenging recently but thankfully not affecting most sailings too badly. The stunning views in between the sporadic weather bombs makes up for any disruption- beautiful snowy mountains & bright blue skies & lake reflections. We're delighted you & your husband enjoyed... Even though we visited on a cold day in January the staff were helpful and informative on both journeys to and from Bowness. Relaxing way to travel the lake

Although the weather was still a 'bit' off we took the red cruise and sailed the islands towards the mountains at the Northern end of Lage Windermere. We broke the journey at Ambleside pier and visited the lovekly village of Ambleside before returning on a later boat. If you intend staying on the boat this takes approximately 75 minutes for... I was thoroughly impressed that the boats were running during the winter months and really enjoyed the trip out onto the lake. The weather was terrible but it was still enjoyable. It cost 10 pound for a round trip or you could chose to get off at Ambleside (we went on the red cruise) and head back on a later... More

Many thanks for your lovely review and four star rating. We have experienced some very challenging weather conditions this Winter so far but have endeavoured to try to provide a daily if occasionally limited service. We're delighted with "worth the trip & good value for money"! We hope you do come back to visit us in Spring/Summer- its a totally... More
