I visited with my son and parents whilst on holidayin Dorset. I had spotted the fort from the viewing perform on Weymouth pier. We thought we might spend an hour or so looking around. We spent the hours there and had to race back to the car before or ticket expired. Nothe Fort is value for money. Informative staff, lots... More

What a great Fort £7 for an adult and £1 for a child excellent value, the children have to count little stuffed mice which are hidden on exhibits as you go round so they are kept busy. Lots of open space and don't forget to visit the Ghost Passage, we heard the Ghost whistling !!! Lots of guns great views... More

There is so much more to do here than at first meets the eye. There are the ramparts (and guns), ground level with WW2 exhibits (and a matchstick fleet!), and the basement tunnels including a ghost trail. Suitable for all ages and mobilities (there is a lift), and a superb cafe with excellent light food and wonderful cakes. For younger... More

We visited Nothe Fort for an afternoon but wished we'd gone for longer - although had the signage been better we would have found it earlier and parked closer! Once in having taken a pleasant stroll through the gardens leading to the fort, we were met with just the most attentive and patient staff who took time to explain the... More

Surrounded by beautiful gardens and the ocean, this is a must see. The fort is rich in history and very well preserved. When we were done we had a walk in the gardens and rounded it off with a swim in the ocean! Excellent.

We visited Nothe Fort only expecting to be there for an hour or so, but spent the whole afternoon there - there is so much to see, do and explore. When you walk in through the gatehouse it all looks impressive but not a particularly big place - then you find out that most of it is below ground. Virtually... More

Nothe Fort was very interesting and we spent about an hour and a half there. There is also a small café. The staff were very informative.

I can imagine brave soldiers & sailors waving goodbye to their loved ones as they left the historic fort, waving goodbye to their cherished home onto battle. As I walk through the crime-ridden streets of this once great nation I wave goodbye to the Britain I loved. Weymouth however is a lovely, good old-fashioned British seaside town, dominated by Nothe... More
