Park land by the coast I found this was a nice place to walk in the early evening as quitter but still light. Only a short walk from the old harbour.

Very interesting displays throughout the Fort. Worth the walk up the steps to the top. If you have difficulty walking, you can access the grounds and gardens by motor car. The views from the gardens over the bay are glorious and there are benches to sit down all around. We were lucky that the weather was very good that day.

I have wanted to go to the Nothe Fort for years but could not convince my wife. This month we went and we had a great time there. It is very educational and very interesting. There is plenty to see and the views from the top are stunning. Very reasonably priced as well. I recommend you to go here you... More

Went with my parents and my 3 yr old, expecting her to get bored quickly, but she loved it. There is a 'mouse hunt' to keep the kids entertained, and she really enjoyed looking at the exhibitions, climbing up and sitting on the anti-aircraft gun and looking at the stunning views. The staff are obviously passionate and dedicated. Really enjoyed... More

We have just spent a lovely couple of hours at Nothe Fort. The staff were extremely welcoming to ourselves and particularly our daughter. The mouse hunt is a super idea for the children and kept our daughter occupied while my husband could spend time reading about the different artefacts. We thought it was extremely good value for £15 for the... More

We paid £1 each to be rowed in a boat across the harbour to Nothe fort and gardens. You then. Climb a few steps if not driving to a lovely little tea shop with tables and chairs outside and birds that feed from your hands. The fort cost £41 for four of us which was in excellent condition, and if... More

What a fantastic place. Went during changeable weather and wasn't put off at all. £15 for two adults and two children - great value. We all enjoyed it on many different levels. Hundreds of years of history. Lots of hands-on exhibits. A true labyrinth of tunnels to get lost in. Great volunteers. Fantastic photos, dioramas and tableaux. Amazing to think... More
