A pleasant walk around the harbour brings you to the fort. It is worth entering for the views alone - east to Weymouth, west over Portland Harbour. Run by local volunteers, this is a great place to spend a few hours. With fantastic views from the ramparts over Weymouth and Portland, you can also explore the passageways too. There aremany displays showing how the fort was built and also giving a history of the area as well.

No dislikes, just what a full day we had, a place with plenty of history and things to look and do, worth every penny we paid to get in. Outstanding place. Recommended
