The fort is absolutely packed with rooms full of displays and information - so much that you really get info-overload. What you see on the surface is just a fraction of it - most is underground in atmospheric (and sometimes dark) tunnels. Lunch in the cafe was OK. Snack foods - had Pannini I think and it was nice. Took... More

We have visited Nothe Fort twice. Lots to see....the fort is huge inside...with displays reflecting the different periods when the fort has been used in the defence of the realm. There seemed to be a lot of work being done upgrading displays and the volunteers we spoke to were all very enthusiastic. The views are amazing and when we visited... More

Very good value for money. Very interesting. Staff (unpaid volunteers) knowledgeable and very friendly. Views from fort over gardens and out to sea fantastic. Lunch in cafe delicious (sandwiches & panini)

Nothe fort is run by volunteers that have been restoring it. It houses some fantastic views of Weymouth and is a great alternative to the Weymouth tower. It is reasonably priced and the cafe is nice to visit and is great for sitting outside as the fort is a nice little sun trap. However, I was a little disappointed that... More

Each ticket purchased, gives you unlimited access for a year. Well worth the money. Interesting displays - not for the claustrophobic as there are many tunnels and passages.

When visited here and expected your visit to last no more than around an hour, after all what is there is see at a fort, he answer was plenty! There are numerous rooms and exhibits over several floors to visit as well as commanding sea views. I would recommend 2-3 hours for a visit

Great price to get in, this fort is full of history and is run by volunteers, on the day we went it was very cloudy but I can imagine it to be a great view. I personally wouldn't have thought it was very interesting for kids, as there's lots to read and lots of walking, it isn't very interactive. here... More

When visiting Nothe Fort, allow yourself several hours or more to see all the exhibits and information - we found that there was so much interesting information that there was a danger that you'd miss something (I'm sure we did!). There is a wide spread of exhibits and exhibitions, from the history of Weymouth, the fort's role throughout the centuries... More

This was a great day out!!! We expected to be there about 2 hours but we were there for 4 hours!! There was so much to do and see here, lots to read and experience how it was. There was a matchstick exhibition while we were there all the military ships and planes had been made all entirely out of... More

This offered us some great information on how the past has developed the way Weymouth is built and the people who lived and died for the area. You have great festivals from this fort and it will feel your day for the young and old.
