We didn't expect there to be much to do when we turned up, there was a large group of school children going in before we did so we decided to take a walk around the outside of the fort first, the views were amazing! So peaceful! We were given a years membership so might return! Would recommend.

Pretty scenery. Calm surrounding sea. Nice gardens surround it. Tame squirrels will eat monkey nuts from your hand. The Fort itself is boring, you can’t get in.

My family and I being residents of Weymouth visit the Nothe Fort regularly. It is like the Tardis and hides many gems within its walls and tunnels. However today sees new the start of a new era. Jill and her gang of merry staff have opened a brand new café, with new state of the art kitchen and menu. The... More

This is an interesting visit for my wife & I - It has a charitable status & is ran by volunteers who do the best with the funds available. It's been somewhat restored from a semi derelict state - there are many displays covering all aspects of the site's development. Disabled access is all ok. If history interests you -... More

This was a brilliant day, plenty to do and see, probably a nicer day in the summer as very cold certain times of year. good service and enjoyed all the scenes. good place to take some nice pictures. To have a good day you would need to stay from open to close to see everything. The children enjoyed looking for... More

Nothe Fort is run by volunteers who are cheerful and happy in their work and who will help and advise in any way they can. The displays are interesting and informative with stuff about world war 1 and 2 and the role of the fort in defending the coastline. There was also some stuff about the cold war and the... More

Nothe fort is surprisingly bigger then I thought it would be, however with all it's history it felt even bigger. The views are amazing. This is a must see for history buffs and photographers alike. The volunteer staff are as knowledgable as any paid staff I've ever met.
