We visited this nature reserve last week. It is such a peaceful place right in the middle of Weymouth, a stone's throw from the beach. We didn't even realise it existed until we were taken there by friends who recently moved to Weymouth.

A peaceful oasis in the middle of the hurry-scurry of the city. We enjoyed a peaceful walk around the wetlands in it's winter cloak, learning as we went from the information sign-posting along the walk. We took a leisurely stroll, enjoying the bird life. The evening sunlight through the reeds and pink light on the swans was an unexpected bonus.... More

This is a lovely little place that is almost hidden away. Please go and see how lovely it is in the middle of the nature reserve near the swannery. I took a big church group there and they were so accommodating. thank you to such lovely people.

Had a lovely walk around the reserve and saw a variety of bird life. Some very interesting 'Did you knows?' en route. Nice little cafe.

A well presented area to enjoy for all. With plenty of nature to see, and well kept. We enjoyed a bike ride around there.

Visitor centre with café and toilet, buy a bag of duck food for £1 (this is a large bag so more then enough to share with family members), ducks very tame - they eat it out of your hands! lovely time reliving childhood days of feeding the ducks :-)

Went for a walk there twice, bought duck food at the visitor centre (also excellent lemon drizzle cake!). It's right in the middle of Weymouth between the north and south and is a little oasis of calm. Reeds were cut to allow a view of the wetland birds. We saw a number of little birds which were either reed or... More
