The views are superb looking around Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour. Inside the Fort visitors can see the local history of activities controlled from the Fort both in War and peacetime.

What a fantastic adventure. Being local to the area, we thought we knew Purbeck pretty well. But with Gary's special access permissions we saw places and views we never knew existed. Picnic was amazing. Highly recommended. You should go.

We had a wonderful day in Purbeck Hills and southwest Dorset. Gary is a born guide who knows the flora and fauna like a naturalist and the local history both from the local perspective and from a historian's perspective. This was an unforgettable day. I hope to have the chance to join a Jurassic Safari again!

A superb afternoon seeing lots of the Dorset countryside that you just would not see under your own steam. Gary is an excellent, friendly guide knowing lots of local history as well as detailed knowledge of the local wildlife and fauna - of which we saw plenty despite it being well into October. The safari lasted four hours but time... More

An inspired choice for a surprise 60th birthday celebration. Stunning scenery from locations off the beaten track. Friendly, informative and entertaining tour guide. Super home-cooked picnic in a heavenly location. Altogether a thoroughly unforgettable experience that was enjoyed by all members of the family.

Even my 11yo and 15yo old boys were impressed. We did the Portland Safari and it was fascinating. Gary has the full range on conversation, from the trivial to the important

What a super day out. I thought I knew every area of Dorset, but Gary took us to parts of the Purbecks only accessible by Land Rover. The scenery was superb and Gary's knowledge of the area its Flora and Fauna was very interesting. Plenty of comfort breaks, with tea, coffee or drinking chocolate on board and home made cakes.... Brilliant! Been on several of these with visiting freinds and relatives and each one has been special. Gary takes you on a 'life tour' of the area with history, farming, geology, and family tales woven into a great adventure...(we think some of it might even be true :-) ) But the "reveals" on the Purbeck tour were breathtaking. Gasps from... More

We went on the Golden Cap tour ( four old friends). It was a wonderful trip - two of us are "locals" by birth and Gary was able to tell us things and show us places we had never been. You get to drive down ( and up) places you would never to able to drive yourself. Good stories and... More
