Having been to Giveny and seen the monet garden i was a bit apprehensive about going here, but wanted to see it. We were greated by a lovely lady. she told us a bit about the gardens. We were free to wonder round. The gardens were lovely. WE really enjoyed our time there and have many lovely photos to remind... More

Very expensive ‘attraction’. Price for senior entrance is £8.25 each. A garden with big ponds. Lilies were pretty, but even walking slowly and taking photographs, we were round in less than half an hour. The ‘nursery’ sells water lilies and was quite scruffy and looked neglected. Didn’t risk having tea in the cafe!

It's hard to believe that such a delightful garden is to be found sandwiched between Weymouth and Chickerell. Once you are immersed within the landscape it's easy to forget that you are so close to a major seaside town. The water gardens are simply stunning and you need to wander around them slowly to savour the planting and appreciate the... More

Over priced for such a small garden. If my son hadn't been photographing we would have walked round very quickly. Lillies were beautiful and it was peaceful. Some ponds were murky and messy. Café overpriced and young girl serving was extremely unhelpful and miserable.

Stunning array of water lilies to see, and the Japanese bridge makes this a far cheaper visit than it would cost to see the original, in Giverny! Beautiful gardens, lovely walks (for the able bodied, although there are limitations on many of the paths and the bridge for wheelchair users, although these are indicated on a map). Café serves delicious... More

Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the number of different ponds and water lilies there were here. Not at all crowded and would have liked to have sat on one of the numerous benches around for a while as it was so tranquil and pretty but didn't have sufficient time. A little over priced tho to... This garden was carefully created from nothing, emphasis on French varieties of lily which were in bloom and quite delightful. I had no idea there were so many varieties but lost count at 50. Today Thursday 7th August there was a BBC Crew filming and sure enough there was Carol Klein expounding with the authority and enthusiasm she normally has.... More

We recently went to Bennetts Water Gardens for a wedding service, the venue is superb but spoiled by the coordinator rushing around hurrying people to take the photographs and basically telling us to go, as the next party were arriving. I would suggest the venue leave a wider gap between services, or is money more important than a couples special... More

Went along with no expectations and on the whole pleasantly suprised. The water lillies were beautiful and the gardens are a tranquil place. We visited on a gorgeous summers day and really enjoyed ourselves, taking our time to walk around, sit in the shade and take pictures. With that in mind it probably took us no more than 75 minutes... We had a lovely welcome from the lady taking the money for our entrance. Our opinion is that this attraction is overpriced. £5.00 per head would have been plenty, and by judging the lack of people around I think shows it to too expensive. A couple of the ponds are lovely with the flowers open. Some are rather overgrown with... More
