Spent a lovely afternoon here with my husband, 10 year old son and elderly parents. It was absolutely amazing what has been achieved with an old clay quarry! The series of ponds were truly stunning, with an amazing variety of water lilies. A very peaceful setting to while away a sunny afternoon and lots of dragon flies to be seen.... More

The water gardens are beautiful and worth the reasonable entrance fee. The water lilies and woodland was very tranquil with lots of places to sit and soak up the views along the way.

This is a superb venue for a small wedding. Small is key. Do not have 100 guests and expect them to all squeeze into a tight space, with about 30 chairs, plus standing room. However, let's not detract from the beautiful setting, the wonderful service ( seriously- what do they have to do, except smile at everyone when arriving?) and... More

Whilst the gardens are very nice when the water lilies are in full bloom, and the Monet bridge plus pagoda are very attractive features, we do feel that a visit here is very over-priced in comparison with the hundreds of gardens, large and small, that we have been privileged to walk around in the south-west over the past 10 years... In August the lily ponds are beautiful, ranging from white lilies through to deep red with a few yellow ones as well. The maps explaining the layout is useful and the pathways are all grass making it easy on the feet, although some of the "safety fences/ropes need some maintenance. There are a variety of gazebos, pagodas and bridges which break... More

My husband and I had a lovely visit here! We stayed around an hour and half in the gardens and were another hour in the cafe. The cafe was really great! The music was chilled and the food was really filling! I had the ploughmans with gammon ham, and this was really fresh and filling! Also my husband had the... More

I was on holiday with my parents when my mum and I decided to visit the Bennetts Water Gardens. It was a nice afternoon and quiet at the attraction which is just what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Weymouth's town centre. The map given to us upon entry was clear and explained to us the origins of... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The Water Lilies were beautiful & when the sun shone, out came the Dragonflies & Damselflies. A very peaceful place to wander around or just sit & contemplate. The Ducks made us laugh, also spotted a cunning Heron hoping to do a spot of fishing! The admission fee is a little on the pricey side... More

We went to visit the gardens on a dull morning and the lilies were still asleep but the sun soon appeared and the lilies woke up. There was a very good display in quite a lot of ponds around the gardens. We were also lucky to have a sighting of a heron in a couple of the ponds. It is... More
