We had a lovely welcome from the lady taking the money for our entrance. Our opinion is that this attraction is overpriced. £5.00 per head would have been plenty, and by judging the lack of people around I think shows it to too expensive. A couple of the ponds are lovely with the flowers open. Some are rather overgrown with... More

I've been meaning to visit for a couple of years as it's close to our holiday apartment in Weymouth. Finally got around to it recently and absolutely loved the place. The waterlilies are gorgeous of course but the whole garden is beautifully planted with contrasting types of tree and shrub. The vistas change delightfully as you walk around and the... More

We recently visited here whilst on holiday. a magical place for peace and harmony. Plenty on seats to sit and enjoy the tranquillity. We then went into the restaurant and was given a friendly welcome. The food was outstanding we had A dorset chedder ploughmans lunch. very fresh and good quality food. You can also picnic as there are grassy... More

Would have been better if the sun was out, but enjoyed walking round these peaceful gardens - you wouldn't think you were just next to a really busy road. Food in café Monet was very enjoyable too.

Nice modern tearooms, nice scones also other food, nice and relaxing, didn't visit water garden bit. Looked good from where we were sitting outside. No fee for eating in restaurant, great if you just want a cream tea or simple lunch.

Unless you are a real water lily fanatic (there must be some) I would give the place a miss. Really not worth the amount they charge for admission.

We were very disappointed in this place , on the small tourist Map it looks very near Chesill beach and walkable ,but it is a bus ride from Weymouth and then a walk. Apart from the first two lakes full of water Lillie's and one smartly painted Gazebo there is nothing else other than many more smaller and one large... More

Having read the reviews for this place we thought we would leave going until July but Sunday was such a beautiful day we decided to take a look. Although a little pricey for what you get we both thought it well worth the money. No, not all the lilies were in flower but there was enough on display to satisfy... More

The water gardens are a wonderfully tranquil spot, despite a little road noise. As you wander around all the lakes, it is easy to forget how close to Weymouth you are. We went the third week in May and found a huge number of waterlilies and irises flowering. The setting is lovely with the gazebo and bridges (Monet -style) and... More
