Description: A new green venture working towards an eco friendly way of living with...
A new green venture working towards an eco friendly way of living with organic, local and green thinking at the heart of everything we do. Bread and pizzas are made daily in our wood fired oven, and we serve simple rustic dishes made with local, organic and seasonal ingredients, all cooked fresh to order using traditional cooking methods. Supporting local producers the farmshop has a traditional butchers counter, delicatessen, bakery and general store with organic fruit, veg, wines, beers and baby products. All of our bread, cakes, patisserie and even chocolates are organic and are hand made in our own kitchens.

Called in for late breakfast ,just made breakfast at 11.30 .the food was all good if a bit pricey, that's what organic does for you. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast finished at 11.30 , lunch starts at 12.00, not sure what you get in the half hour between.

We timed our drive to Glasgow to be able to stop for lunch. The pizzas are great, while we had fresh soup and a then coffee and excellent cake. Tables a wee bit close so we were very near the large party behind us, but service was good .There's a lovely shop attached -not cheap but really nice organic food... More

Had a delicious felafel salad for lunch - homemade and full of flavour . He had a bacon sandwich which was a homemade batch with the best part of an organic pig draped seductively over it . The order was taken promptly. It did take a while for the food to arrive ( catching and cooking fresh pigs and falafels... More

Wow ! What a find . This was my first visit to Cross Lanes Organic Farm Shop .Do not let your first impressions on entering the car park deter you from entering the farm shop or cafe. This appears to be a relatively new development and I am sure in the months to come the exterior appearance will improve as... More

We go to this fantastic restaurant / cafe at least once a month. First the staff are friendly, smiling lovely people. The food is freshly cooked with a lot of love. We have had most dishes in our time and cannot fault anything. It really is the best place to eat on the 66, wish it was nearer, we would... More

This is a great place to stop whilst in the area. Ample free parking. Nice food and a handy farm shop. It does have it's peculiarities, as one other person observed getting served, you have to go to the counter or your beverage then decided where to sit and them think about food, it's a bit mixed up but there... This is a lovely building on the side of the A66, with a rather interesting take on being a roadside cafe. It serves lovely coffee, and the food looks fantastic (although I am yet to try it). Having the farm shop in the same building is excellent as you can pick up a few goodies to enjoy at a later... More

I can't praise this wonderful cafe and farm shop enough. I think it's the best cafe bar none on the A66 and I've been to them all. The high quality of the food, especially the rare breed meats and sausages and wood fired oven pizza's is truly amazing. If like me you care about the provenance, taste and quality of... More

Myself, and my partner always enjoy this farm shop which happens to be near a friend's home and she visits regularly that's how good it is. The building is stylish with numerous eco-credentials, the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful. Definitely amongst the best scones ever and great coffee! Farm shop has tasty locally reared organic meat and amongst other... More

Have visited this venue on a number of occasions as it is handy for stopping for respite on A66. The system in place for ordering food is confusing - I have never been able to work out if I order at counter or at table. If you go directly to table you are often not noticed. Tables not always cleaned... More
