For those visiting Beverley for the first time a visit to the Minster is a must. Built around the 12th and 13 centuries with work lasting over a century the Minster is a magnificent site. Originally a pilgrimage site, Beverley was the tenth largest town in medieval England. Its initial wealth was founded on the wool trade and later home... More

What a beautiful piece of architecture. Definitely worth a visit to appreciate the beauty of the place. It's amazing how they built it

To attempt to rate this amazing building makes me feel very inadequate. It is not to be missed and I was sorry that my timing left me unable to take the guided tour which visits the rafters is regretable.

We visited the Minster and was really surprised just how big it was. We walked around the outside and the building just to get the scale of it. Sadly we didn't have time to go inside as it was almost closing time on this visit but we will be back again soon.

Called in as we haven't been in her before. Greeted at the door by a very helpful gent who gave us a leaflet and explained where we were on the map then left us to wander. Nice coffee shop inside although we did not stay. Toilets are outside

I have visited numerous fine cathedrals and churches in England, France, Italy and Spain, but none so pleasing as Beverley Minster. Although it took 200 years to build and includes three different architectural styles, the whole building is perfectly co-ordinated and makes Canterbury Cathedral and York Minster look like a dog's dinner in comparison. The soaring Gothic arches and magnificent... More

Short walk from the town centre, friendly and informative volunteer guides, free entry. It feels like a village church, just on a big size. It is definitely still a place of worship. Some lovely stained glass, including a modern window. Definitely worth a visit.
