How do they do that?

There is a shadow of Jesus on the side of the Minster when it's lit up at night. Truly beautiful sight.

We were greeted by a friendly volunteer who shared interesting facts about the Minster with us. The Minster is beautiful as is the town of Beverley. Well worth a visit.

A very relaxing place to visit with free admission (something of a rarity in religious buildings now) with a bright atmosphere and lots to see. I particularly liked learning history about some of the local service personnel who lost their lives for their country. The memorial area is a very respectful tribute.

Religious or otherwise, this is a marvelous structure and piece of history. Staff are very accomodating, and it's a wonderful physical presence in the town centre.

Beverley Minster houses one of local York artist Helen Whitaker's beautiful stained glass windows. The theme of the window is Pilgrimage and is to be found in the retro quire along with two sculpted figures - pilgrims to the tomb of St John of Beverley. This area of the Minster is for quiet prayer and contemplation.

A wonderful place with a real sense of reverence and age. There are so many interesting historic features. Just be careful before reading the Book of Condolences , I have read it many times and I am always moved to tears. It's a wonderful place to get lost in thought and reconnect spiritually.

We popped in on a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon - within easy walking distance of the town centre. A large church with intricate wooden carvings and lovely stained glass windows. There is no entrance fee but you do apparently need a £3 permit to take photos - don't have a problem with that. A nice place to sit and reflect... More

I wasn't aware of this cathedral like church and saw the towers as I drove in. It's only a small town so when I finished teaching I took a five minute walk, The Minster is awesome, in the original sense of the word. Super friendly local volounteers welcome you and are a great resource of knowledge. The place was done... More
