What a lovely traditional cathedral, The Christmas tree festival was a bonus and there were some quite stunningly decorated ones. There was an impromptu organ recital being undertaken when we visited which showed the organ off to it's full splendour.

This was completely unexpected. An absolutely stunning church where we were warmly welcomed. Not to be missed.

My husband and I decided to look around Beverley Minster and we were greeted by two gentlemen (who volunteered to meet and greet people) They took the time to tell us all about the Church and it's fascinating history. The entrance was free but we paid £3.00 for a permit which entitled us to take photographs of the beautiful inside,... More

The Minster is a beautiful church which we visited on 15 December to see our grandson in the carol concert from Molescroft Primary school. The 2 large decorated xmas trees looked splendid near the front. The only drawback was that there were so many people there we had to sit at the back so didn't see our grandson too well... More

It was a Thursday morning just before Christmas and the weather was surprisingly warm for December. We had been staying at the Tudor Rose, checked out after a hearty breakfast and took a leisurely walk to the Minster where we arrived just as a service of Holy Communion was beginning and were delighted to be invited to join the congregation.... We were fortunate to be visiting the area when Beverley had its Xmas market last weekend. We were also aware that the Minster had its Xmas tree festival on that weekend. A beautiful interior with some very interesting information available. The trees were entertaining and the voting at the end made it interesting for us as we walked around, deciding... More

Went to Beverley and was surprised how big it was, lovely town, doesn't seem to be suffering much from the recent recession. Nice shops and has an old world charm about it. Trimmed up nicely for Christmas. The Minster is at one side of the town and a lovely church at the other

Spent a weekend visiting Beverley and we were lucky in that the Food and Drink Festival was being held in the Minster. What a great setting to hold the event and it gave us the chance to spend time looking around the Minster and without a doubt will return for a closer loo in the future.

Absolutely wonderful. Makes me very proud to be British. Not many countries can match Great Britain for the wonderful Cathedrals/Minsters we are lucky to have after hundreds of years. definitely worth visiting, free admission (if you wish) but anyone visiting please make a generous donation to help with the upkeep this wonderful building!!
