We called here today on our walk from our relatives home, heading into the town. How fascinating this Minster is. The outside is stunning and very beautifully detailed. I was completely mesmerised. When we entered, it was lovely and quiet, felt very peaceful. The inside was beautiful. The windows with colour and very detailed. They were carvings for people who... More

Beverley Minster has an interesting history. It is smaller than York Minster but more intimate. It still serves as a community church. I always visit the memorial to those lost in numerous wars which is very moving. It is a lively historical building, an oasis of calm and if you're lucky you can enjoy the odd free concert there.

Beverley Minster is a wonderful iconic building and is a must for any visitor to Beverley. large and imposing with fantastic carvings and stonework it is an amazing building to wander around. try to visit when the Minster has the Tower open as it is fascinating! and not just least the stained glass windows and the view over Beverley.
