Well worth a visit, it always amazes me how the craftsmen from nearly a thousand years ago were able to build monuments like this.

From the moment you set your foot through the door you are greeted by smiling staff and volunteers. Once inside there is lots to look at and a fantasic tour available to go one. Good old building with a very interesting history! :)

The Minster is well worth a visit. An Awe inspiring feat of engineering. There is a roof tour which I cannot recommend highly enough. The history and views within the roof are well worth the token fee and the 113 steps up. The tours are twice a day between May and October, but call ahead to confirm. Wear sturdy shoes... More

Another great church in Yorkshire. Free to enter. Lots of interesting features and people on hand to answer all your questions. It has a shop and toilets! Well worth a visit if you are interested in historical religious buildings.

Sadly closed when I was there but from the outside, it is a beautiful building. Got a fantastic photo of it as I arrived via the Westwood.

I've been meaning to visit the Minister for 30 years, should have done it years ago. We were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us a potted history and then wandered around in wonderment at the craftsmanship .

We were pleasantly surprised and well impressed by Beverley Minster. The architecture is as stunning as we expected. I paid £3 to be able to take photographs inside. £3 well spent! The money goes to the church, which they desperately need for the upkeep. There is a tourist attraction shop as well as seating for a tea break. Tea and... More

There is nothing like a large church to stir the emotions, and Beverley Minster is no exception. A church on a cathedral scale, full or memorials and art. A wonderful building.
