Not really one for visiting churches, etc., but had driven past the Minster so many times that we decided to drop in when we had time over Xmas. The Minster is impressive inside and there are lots of guides around to talk to you about the history of the place. Christmas tree was pretty too! Wandered to the market afterwards... More

I have been to Beverley loads of times but never entered the Minster. However, if like me you wouldn't normally consider going in a cathedral/church or minster then I would recommend you give Beverley Minster a go. Personally greeted on entry by a really pleasant chap which was a nice touch. Plenty of interesting facts available about the history once... More

My brother-in-law and I are keen amateur photographers and after going around Lincoln Cathedral last year, wanted to see Beverley Minster and take some photo's. It was free entry with a £3.00 payment should you wish to take photographs inside. You are given a sticker to wear so that the staff know. Although we didn't organise a guided tour (that... More

The volunteer at the Minster was fabulous and I am only sorry I didn't ask his name. His Green Man (& Green Woman) knowledge was brilliant as this is a subject I am quite passionate about and he pointed them out to us. The architecture of the Minster is just spectacular and I will return for future visits. I would... More

I visit Beverley Minster as often as I can - I've developed a passion for this beautiful church over the years and as a masterpiece of medieval architecture, I recommend it to anyone visiting the East Riding. The volunteer stewards are welcoming, friendly and informative. There's always a an engaging 'hello' upon entering and this occasion proved to be no... More

Wow what a special venue for a concert of this kind. Beverley minster is warm and welcoming. The acoustics were fantastic, the candlelit atmosphere was enchanting. We are glad we booked 'restricted view' side pew seats at half the price because we had an excellent view, although at an angle we were still near the front. Russell Watson was brilliant... More

What a lovely traditional cathedral, The Christmas tree festival was a bonus and there were some quite stunningly decorated ones. There was an impromptu organ recital being undertaken when we visited which showed the organ off to it's full splendour.

This was completely unexpected. An absolutely stunning church where we were warmly welcomed. Not to be missed.

My husband and I decided to look around Beverley Minster and we were greeted by two gentlemen (who volunteered to meet and greet people) They took the time to tell us all about the Church and it's fascinating history. The entrance was free but we paid £3.00 for a permit which entitled us to take photographs of the beautiful inside,... More

The Minster is a beautiful church which we visited on 15 December to see our grandson in the carol concert from Molescroft Primary school. The 2 large decorated xmas trees looked splendid near the front. The only drawback was that there were so many people there we had to sit at the back so didn't see our grandson too well... More
