I've never taken a cookery course before, but this was great. I spent the day making bread, and came back with some terrific loaves and, more importantly, the knowledge of how bread is made, which is a very physical thing that it's hard to learn from books.

I had a fantastic day in a great location. I had somewhat of an "out of body" experience as I produced wonders like Banana loaf, Focaccia, Granary Cob and delicious filled Stromboli with relative ease and very few of the normal problems I have with Bread making. The staff were friendly and very capable and attentive and the course teacher... More

Learned far more about cooking in the day than I expected. Very enjoyable atmosphere and with only 8 of us in the class it was easy to learn. I am a bit of a novice cook and when I saw what we were making I thought it was going to be a bit much for me but I needn't have... More

A very well appointed, well renovated, attractive place, run by charming people. We cooked three lovely dishes, everything clearly demonstrated and all equipment whisked away by the clean up elves, then replaced for us and we ate some of one dish for lunch. The meal was supplemented by a delightful pudding of meringue and fruit, a perfect accompaniment for the... More

The Patisserie course was a birthday gift. The atmosphere was wonderfull, the staff were friendly and helpful. I am now confident with three recipes that I probably would not have attempted on my own. Neighbours and friends who sampled the results were all very impressed.

A Christmas present from my wife who thought it was time i helped out in the Kitchen. Several of the students had been here before and were very complimentary, others were experienced. A mixed group with similarly mixed skills. The tutor was very good and ably assisted. We prepared three dishes, Twice baked Salmon Souffle, Lamb with Tamarind and Dates,Choux... More

My husband and youngest son went on the course last weekend. It lasts about 3-4 hours, and they learnt to cook a meal from scratch. They had a fantastic time, and came back with Greek style lamb kebabs with oven cooked vegetables, and an amazing Banana Bread Brownie, with instructions on how to repeat at home! The ingredients are provided,... More

Three staff took a party of young people from year 7 - 11 for a weeks cooking. The staff were exceptional when engaging with group and gave above and beyond to meet the needs of the students. They were flexible and adapted the course to suit the individual needs of the group. Not only did they form strong bonds with... More

i bought my friend an all day cookery lesson for her 40th birthday, and i decided to throw in a nights accommodation either side too. Bu. So we arrived on friday evenings, later than the arrival time stated in the paperwork. But it did not cause a problem as Agi was so lovely on our arrival. We were shown around... More

I recently attended a Thai cooking course at this venue and had a great day. The school is very well equipped, all the ingredients are supplied, and the standard of tuition is very high. The teaching was unhurried with demonstrations beforehand of everything we were going to do. Every step was explained clearly and plenty of tips provided to make... More
