I decided to have a walk around Burton Constable as I haven't been for a while and I am so glad I did they have updated the stable block which also housed the stable boys room plus a ww1 information room which I found particularly interesting . I had my dog and took him for a walk which takes you... More

We were so impressed with Burton Constable Hall on our recent first visit. There are walks in lovely grounds, an excellent cafe and the house and stables well-presented and extremely interesting. Allow a couple of hours for looking at the house interior and stables as there is so much to see - so many well-furnished rooms open, displaying some beautifully... More

We visited burton constable mid week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The lady on the reception was friendly (as were all staff we encountered, even the workmen and maintenance staff greeted us with a warm hello). We visited the house first and the room guides let you look at your own pace and didn't bombard you with information. When we... More

We arrived early and had a walk around the gardens which were beautiful. We stopped in the tea room and had some lunch which was great. We then had a wander around the house which was packed with interesting pictures, curiosities and history. We ended the day in the sunshine having a drink as the birds swooped over the lawn.... More

What a shame this large and very interesting house is nearer other attractions to get more visitors. There a number of stunning rooms and areas here in the house - lots of rooms to explore in a free flow visit.

I loved visiting this hall. From first turning into the drive and approaching as they would have done back in the day, to the lovely friendly guides in the rooms, I simply loved it. Each room is exquisitely decorated and the furniture and ornaments that had been collected were immense. I haven't been in a country house with so much... More

This was my first visit to Burton Constable Hall and what a surprise!! This is a stunning Yorkshire gem. So much to see in the Hall - 30 rooms packed with exceptional treasurers. The staff were so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food in the cafe was super. Must bring the Renishaw |Guides to this beautiful Hall.... More

This house is tucked away in countryside in East Yorkshire and is well worth the trip. Lots of fascinating things to see in a beautifully presented house. We were told it has had some care and attention recently and it shows. The guides were very friendly and chatty - a treat. The restaurant has a small menu but it is... More
