We visited Tamar Lakes on a glorious afternoon in August. The sun was shining and it was very beautiful. There are lots of things you can do here, including lots of different water sport, varying from sailing to pedalo's. Also, there is bike hire available, to cycle around the reservoir as well as various walks. There is a small play... More

The children enjoyed the easier of the two tree top routes. They did it several the allocated hour. The instructors were friendly and helpful The cafe was excellent with top cake. A good few hours out

The Cafe at the Upr Lake is very good. We had a small breakfast each which was excellent. Cycled around the Upr Lake about 3 miles which was nice. We didn't use the Water Centre itself so cannot comment

We had a trip to Tamar lakes, a lovely, pleasant area and sat in the sun for a while. We called in the café and was delighted with our Quiche and salad at a price which we thought was far too little for such good home made food. We followed that with a delicious moist carrot cake. Good atmosphere and... More

Great place for a walk with an energetic family and dogs. The cafe does nice tea and cake too, though you need to check the opening times

Had a few fantastic walks around the lake. Even went to the watersports open day, but they had underestimated the number of visitors, and couldn't fit us in on tryouts of anything and were a bit disorganised really. But still had a load of fun.

Visited on a windy day and walked around Upper Tamar Lake, nice 3 mile walk along footpath, good easy access for all. Lots of wildlife to see. Good car park with cafe and toilets. Well worth a visit when you fancy a change from the beach.

We have been to most of the reservoirs in the south west and I must say this one is probably the least appealing! After parking in the vastly overpriced car park, I was quite surprised that the coffee shop was closed considering the large amount of people out there on a sunny Sunday afternoon! I know it is winter but... More
