We recently visited with 3 kids age 9-12 and had a great time. Peter and Karen are expert archers who have managed to condense the finer points of archery for beginners into 3 hours. We spent the first hour practising on traditional bullseye style targets, then walked around the woodland glades shooting animals (rubber ones). We all had a decent... More

Great time at red elk today. As real beginners Peter gives you great advice and your shooting straight in no time. Loved the mix of targets and woodland animals/ settings for variety. Above all loved Peter's knowledge of local history, wildlife ( we had hawks overhead all morning!!) and great sense of humour putting all at ease. Best value for... More

We (My dad, sister (22) and myself (25)) decided to visit red elk archery during our holiday and it proved to be one of the most enjoyable parts of our holiday. Peter and Karen were really friendly and very knowledgable - and not just about the archery, Peter is a mine of information on topics ranging from the civil war... More

My husband & son had a brilliant time at Red Elk - the highlight of our son's week in Cornwall! Despite having done archery many times before he was taught the correct techniques for the first time. They were lucky to have the coach all to themselves, and said he was really interesting to talk to. In my husband's opinion... More

Saw the reviews on TA so whilst staying in Bude took our 9 year old for a fun family morning. Peter really is a fab coach, very patient and never makes you feel stupid. This is good because you really do learn quickly. The session starts with learning how the gear works and practicing on traditional targets. Then you move... More

This was great for our family of two girls aged 12.5 and 15 - loved it. Learned lots and Peter was very knowledgeable about his sport - amazing how you progress during the three hours.

A really enjoyable activity for both adults and children. My husband and son have been talking non stop about it since they went. The instructor helped everyone in our group and was very knowledgable and very funny. This was a welcome change to the usual summer holiday activities and was worth every penny. We will definitely be going again!

What a fantastic experience! Having read earlier reviews I suggested this to our party of 5 adults and 2 teenagers and I am so glad I did. Peter and his wife (apologises I have forgotten her name) were welcoming, friendly and patient making it a great afternoon. The younger members of the group had done some archery in the past... An enjoyable and entertaining afternoon with a great instructor and host. There were only 4 of us participating so it was very personal and great value for money. Would recommend it to anyone with an interest in archery.
