I've been in racing years as owner and trainer, now retired and first time back at Newton for many years. Never again .What are they trying to do, beat royal ascot for rules? Had tickets in advance, but told to line up for search prior to entering the course. No problems i thought, with the possibility of terror attack and... More

Went to the races on 7/7/2014, first visit to Newton Abbot and only the second time we had been. If you want to go bear in mind they do not take credit cards on the gate, luckily we had enough cash! The racing was thoroughly enjoyable, we only bet a couple of pound a race and ended up just about... More

Came here with a group of friends about 3 weeks ago. Iv never been to the races and didn't really know what to expect at all so was shown the ropes and soon got into the swing of things. Drinks were flowing and were not too expensive at the bar. As for betting i only did "small bets" and didn't... More

I love the races and with Newton Abbot getting the accolade of best small racecourse by the Owners Association what better place to go. Well that's ok if you own a horse! Or maybe if you pay extra to go into the Paddock. Our experience started at the gate when we tried to buy our tickets with a debit card.... More

Thank you for review of your trip to Newton Abbot. I’m guessing by the date of this post that you visited us on our Easter Saturday fixture? As this is our most popular fixture of the season, I’m afraid that sometimes the queues can be longer than we would like, although we do carefully monitor anticipated crowd levels to plan... More

Two small children under 3 and a 7 year old. Three adults. We went in the school holidays which meant there were activities in the middle of the course to entertain the children. Bouncy castle etc all part of the service. There were plenty of food outlets we had a beautiful marinated chicken baguette from the outside BBQ area. It... More

Went to Newton Abbot with my wife and 2 children Sat 02/08/13 and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Easy to get to by car as it well signposted. Good value as children were free. We paid £36 which for a day out is reasonable for a family of 4.N/A is a small course 1.1 mile round (similar to Plumpton) so you... More

Attended Newton Abbot races on Sat 2/8/13. Being an avid racegoer was looking to this as part of my wifes 40th birthday bash in Torquay. Wished we hadnt of bothered. Really needs upgrading. Facilities nowhere near adequate for 2000 people let alone the 5000+ that were there. No where to sit, viewing areas limited and getting a drink was just... More
