One of the last true Cider Bars left! Worth a visit if you like cider- no beers or lagers in sight. Friendly atmosphere and staff x

Having been a regular for 50 years its time to give a little advice! This place hasnt really changed at all and the atmosphere is unique provided you go when its not empty or too full i.e.Thurs/fri possibly better or early Sat eve. A great range of ciders and country wines but be careful as some are deceptively strong and... More

This, on the outside looks a very plain building but on the inside it is a thriving atmospheric authentic cider bar. Don't go in looking for beer as you won't find any. Hundreds of ciders are on offer and a few perries. Also, lots of different exotic country wines. Looks really old inside and very plainly furnished which just adds... More

Returned to the cider bar in Newton Abbott, what a fantastic pub, great ciders and wines, very friendly staff and the best cheese and ham crusty rolls ever, if you're in Newton Abbott it's a must .

Cider or cyder houses used to be common place in the uk, unfortunately Ye Olde Cider Bar (to give it it's correct title) is one of only four left. Currently it is up for sale or lease & what it needs is a good old fashioned landlord to take it on and preserve it as it should be. None of... More

Should come with a health warning as some of the ciders are dangerously drinkable. Lots of choice, different styles, strengths and prices. Classic 'farmy' interior, staff fine.

Hi. Visited totnes to see friends who decided we would got to newton abbotts cider bar. Cider lovely ruined by barman with bad attitude. Unfriendly, raised eyes to the roof when I forgot a drink in the order, never heard a please or thank you, failed to give me all my change. Needs to get on a customer care course.

just makes me smile thinking of this place, A one-off experience. Don't think it's changed since it was built and like stepping back in time. Good varieties of fruit wines and ciders - all of which are very potent!.
