Only went in because it was raining. What a delight. Very helpful staff answered all our awkward questions about this fabulous, not so little gem, untouched by Henry VIII's Dissolution. Well worth the unpressurised suggested donation.

A truly wonderful and beautiful church. It has the longest nave in the country and has been mistaken for a cathedral many times. So much history is attached to this church and it has a wonderful location close to the little quay at Christchurch and the two rivers which meet there. Well worth a visit.

As I am a resident of Christchrch the Priory is in view from almost everywhere, but it is well worth a visit. They have a team of 'meeters and greeters' who are very helpful but not intrusive. The Priory is the longest parish church in England and has two daughter churches, Sr George's in Jumpers (yes, that is a place)... More

A grand building, part Norman, with fascinating features including chantry built for Margaret Pole and a 'miraculous beam'.

A grand piece of history, just around the corner from Christchurch quay, lovely for a picnic or use the little cafe.

When we entered this church my first word was WOW! It's the oldest church I've seen in my life till now and I'm still amazed by how the interior looks!! You can really feel this oldness just look at walls! Highly recommended to visit this place!

My first visit was too late as winter closing is at 4pm. But it was worth a return trip. There is some resemblance to Sherborne Abbey but this looks more ancient still with surprising corners and different levels. Unusually there is a 20p coin in a slot model that lights up and plays brief choral, organ music and bells. The... More
