Beautiful church with lovely story of how the town became renamed around the church. Lovely volunteers, very enthusiastic and full of knowledge. Also a lovely tie-in with our own Christchurch Cathedral in New Zealand, especially poignant now. Just a donation to visit, and you can pay £2 extra to be able to take photos inside the church.

Very large church situated in a big area. Also very close to the harbour. This church is famous for the story of the miraculous beam that is in the roof.

Whilst walking around Christchurch Town we popped into the Priory Church. What an amazing church and you can even talk a tour of the towers which last about 35-40 mins. The cost is nominal. Well worth a visit

If you like church architecture you'll love this. It feels more like a cathedral than a parish church. Fabulous and highly recommended.

Visited here with friends and found it really interesting. Look out for the 'miraculous beam', and the story behind it. Staff very friendly and one of them took us up the spiral steps to the top of the tower (small charge) and we had magnificent views across Christchurch and beyond, but beware - it's a long, spiral climb!
