This was our first visit to paint a cup for our grandson. It was a very restful and interesting afternoon. Especially the coffee and delicious cakes we endulged ourselves. We will certainly be going back and taking our grandchildren with us.

Thank your review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your visit to The Clay Studio. The mug looked great and I am sure Callum is very pleased with it. Using stickers to create designs is a simple technique but it is very effective. More

We visited The Clay Studio on a very busy day during half-term. Fortunately this is a large venue as many others had the same idea. We had painted pottery before but the range of items and paints was better than we had previously seen. We all painted and spent most of the afternoon painting Christmas decorations. Although the staff were... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to The Clay Studio. This helps others to understand more about what we do. You are right that it takes time to achieve a good piece and our staff look to encourage this. Your pieces looked wonderful and we hope to see you again one day. We love the coffee... More

Not very impressed.... My daughter ordered cheese on toast on brown.. It came on white... My son and I ordered a jacket potato.. They forgot my order, kids had finished by the time mine arrived. Potato was like cotton wool and cold.. Couldn't find any cheese on it either... Perhaps a bad day? Won't try again..

We were very surprised to read your review of the food and service you received at The Clay Studio recently. I have spoken with the staff who were working on Sunday when you visited to find out more about what happened. This was one of our busiest Sundays ever with a very large number of meals being served. We apologise... More

Had a great visit. I painted a plate and my husband painted a tile. Took us about 5 hours in all. Friendly, attentive staff. Nice atmosphere and everything available to do a good job.

Great place to go in any type of weather. Friendly staff to help you out and all types of things to paint. But beware they have delicious cakes to eat too. Great place to get an unusual personal gift for someone.

Many thanks for your review. We are pleased you had a good time. You are perfectly correct that hand-painted pottery makes a unique present as it is personal and thought and care has gone into its production, We love the cakes too! More

After take our chances this year with the UK weather and holidaying in Christchurch and the surrounding area, we weren't too surprised when we had rainy day after rainy day. Many thanks for your review. We are very pleased tat you enjoyed your visit on a very busy day. We always like to ensure that finished pieces are as good as they can be even if it means putting them back in the kiln overnight. The end result is always worth the extra effort. Weather was cloudy outside so we took a short walk from our hotel to the studio. Kids chose a piece each and sat inside painting away. Unfortunately your not allowed to take the dog in so I walked her round the block a few times whilst the kids stopped with my friend. It passed a few hours until the sun... More

We had a great 4 hours choosing a couple of blank pieces and then applying our own erm 'art' to them. I'm no artist and not really into arts and crafts, but had a great time. We spent a few hours here on a dull Monday morning. There is a huge selection of pottery to chose from and staff are on hand to give tips and techniques on painting.Prices started from around £5 but most pieces are £15 upwards plus you need to add on £3.50 per child, our piece cost £22 in total but it... Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you had a good time. You mentioned that we do not provide aprons. We have plenty of aprons are available if you ask for one. This is no problem at all. However, the paints are totally safe and will usually brush off clothes even before washing. More
