Sadly being short of time I only managed a visit to the Gardens as the house closes at 4.00pm for new entries, but the gardens, (which are open until 7.00pm), are well worth a visit if you're in the area. A National Trust property which is well signposted from the main road although you do have to drive around to... More

We came to Florencecourt after a disappointing visit to the caves, what a relief to meet some civilized people again and to find a shop and restaurant that recognised credit and debit cards. After a walk around the fabulous well maintained walled garden we settled for afternoon tea in the attractive restored stables restaurant, clean and wonderful food at reasonable... More

As National Trust members no charge. Direction signposts spot on. Plenty parking for campervans. Pop up camping advertised, pity no campervaning as in Springfield. Fabulous woodland playground with best ropes hanging out trees, beautiful walled garden with rose cottage. Usual gift shop n book shop with little mat for kids look at where wally book. Booked our tour for 3pm... More

The tour of Florencecourt Castle was very good. The house is very beautiful but at the same time homey. We were a little disappointed with the gardens. At the gate we were told to make sure we visited the gardens because the roses were in full bloom and to our disappointment, there was only one yellow rose blooming. I don't... More

This is an usual house and the guide was excellent. I would recommend a visit to see the plaster work in the renovated stairwell.

Not really interested in historical buildings so was keen to see the surroundings. Made it to the walled garden but apart from nice vegetable patch and lavender beds, the roses hadn't blossomed so little to see. Interesting old bookshop and souvenir shop . Nice drive via Upper Lough Erne as I'd never been in that area before.

Another National Trust property but I found this one was not signposted very well at all. The cafe is good and reasonably priced. The tour was very good and it is a change to be able to read papers and books on display in the first room where we all gather for the tour. At one part of the tour... More
