A visually stunning building overlooking the Tyne from the Gateshead side. Lots of steps to negotiate but well worth the effort. Great giftshop and fantastic views of the iconic Tyne Bridge and the Millenium swing bridge. A couple of hundred metres from the Baltic

Superb sound quality for musical events. Slight downside, seating can be quite cold around ankles! Also expensive parking onsite.

Well worth the visit, a beautifully unique building. Enjoyed a lovely lunch. Some unique items in their small gift shop. Wish we'd had time to attend a concert, checked out one of the theaters while a band was rehearsing .. wonderful acoustics.

We always make a point to visit the Quayside when in Newcastle. It's a beautiful section of the local community. Besides the Baltic, my favorite building is the Sage Gateshead. I believe the structure is approximately 10 years old at this point. The Sage Gateshead offers a lovely venue to hear a broad spectrum of musical genres. A few years... More

I went to see the Pet Shop Boys twice at this superb venue. Both nights were sold out as they performed their Electric Tour. The sound in The Sage was absolutely fantastic, easily the best of all the venues where I saw this amazing tour. It looks great from both the outside and in, plus there was the added bonus... More

Free entrance - a beautiful building with breath taking views of the Newcastle and Gateshead Bridges and Quayside. If you are lucky enough to come to a concert here you are in for a treat. If you are just wandering through it is worth stopping at the coffee shop which has a lovely range if cakes, snacks and coffees etc.... More

This was our first visit, on a Sunday morning. Looking at the building we could not tell whether the building was open or not, come on Sage make it obvious to all the visitors on The Quays that you are open ! We took the lift to the top floor and walked down. It is magnificent inside and sat inside... More

Visited the Sage for the first time, it a modern building and very well organised making finding you seats easy. Although we did not eat there the restaurant certainly looked OK and was well attended. All in all a good place to visit we will certainly return.
