Sat on the river tyne has wonderful views of the 5 bridges and the passing traffic on tHe river. Newcastle quayside has been revitalised and the view here is the best.

Not our first visit. This time to see the Jayhawks, during Summertyne. Following surgery I requested a seat change, they could not have been more helpful! Parking brilliant, very easy access. The buzz was immediate with open air events and food stands. The atmosphere immediately brought smiles to our faces. Accessibility was great ( temporarily on sticks). Had dinner which... More

The Sage can be easily found down by the river Tyne on the Gateshead side, and the transport, too and from are many. The venue itself is modern and has many benefits given the number of theater halls it has, there is also a great many places to have a meal and are not expensive. I went there for a... More

Travel to England for business. Conference was at the Sage. So glad I was able to see many rooms and theaters in this extraordinary building.

Dominating the horizon in Gateshead, one cannot fail to be impressed by this structure, regardless of what one thinks about modern architecture. During the day one can visit the interior, and visit the viewing gallery of Hall 1, where on the day of my visit, a children's choir were rehearsing. At night, the view from the other side of the... Asked for two pints of Angel beer and got 10p change from a tenner!! £4.95 a pint??? Daylight robbery. I certainly felt robbed as I discovered later after a concert the price list said £4.

We have visited The Sage several times over the last two years as our daughter is doing her Music Degree there. There is a wonderful atmosphere and good facilities. The acoustics in the concert halls are superb. The views over the Tyne into Newcastle, especially at night when the Millennium Bridge is lit up,are wonderful.

Quite an unusual design which is pleasant to the eye. You must visit this attraction otherwise you have missed a treat. It seems to cater for all types of music from folk to opera. It has three concert halls with fantastic facilities. Although I did not see a performance there, I can imagine it would be a good experience. The staff... More
