The Sage occupies a great position overlooking the River Tyne. At night and viewed from the Newcastle side of the river it looks fantastic when all lit up. It is an iconic structure which can be many parts of the river and looked impressive from most vantage points. Great acoustics when listening to musical performances. The events list caters for... Lovely place to go either for just a nice cup of coffee, a nice meal in the restaurant before a show. Has lovely views of the famous Tyne Bridges.

I've been to see various bands here over the years, the most recent being Jamie Cullum, Classic Rock Show and have already got tickets to see Dave Sanborn at the Jazz Festival (can't wait!). I have also played gigs here and from that perspective I can say that it is a very pleasant place to perform. It takes just over... More

This was the third visit to the wonderful Sage Gateshead venue for me in the past six months. Each one was for a performance in Hall One - the main stage. The Sage Gateshead is totally unique and it is a pleasure to watch/listen to your chosen artist there - the acoustics are world class! Food and drinks are available... More

Loved the architecture of the building and the views over the Newcastle skyline. We were there at twilight and the view was really pretty. Cafe served a nice mint tea. Huge slice of Battenberg cake bought as a present! Take-away container provided on request. Super-clean concourse and no problem in getting a table. Nice buzz with people arriving for the... More

I have just been to a concert at this amazing venue! It is such a beautiful building and worth a visit even if you're not going to an event.

The staff at The Sage are outstanding. All very friendly and helpful. They all look like they enjoy their jobs. The building was a bit unusual when first erected but now being a regular visitor I can say I love the place. Inside is spectacular. Roomy with occasional exhibitions to view. Hall One is simply stunning. Built with acoustics in... More

Went to see Nathan Carter in Hall 2, we had seats on floor three which I got to admit I was dreading but we had a great view of the stage. They where really comfy with plenty of elbow room. My only complaint was at half time my hubby went to the bar for a pint. He was told on... More
