A very big centre which in parts is jusf large outlets but it does have some different shops which are not part of chains and unique to the cnetre. Every time we go, we find interesting stuff we dont see elsewhere. Plan for a day out.

As I live close to the Metro, we are regular visitors to the place. There is plenty of choice of shops so there is something for everyone. Also, there is plenty of different eating places so there is a restaurant for everyone. There is a big Odeon cinema which is a good addition to the shops. The biggest advantage of... More

called in at the centre to have a last minute shop, spend the last of our holiday money, you need a whole day to really appreciate the scale of shops, places to eat and also the entertainment complex. There are ample free parking spaces and also guide points to help individuals find their way around. There is something for everyone... More

Avoid the metrocentre if you can. The chain shops are disgusting the place reeks of ripoff the decor is garish and the whole experience saps energy. It's revolting. It ights the local area the spend goes nowhere near the local economy rather the opposite and altogether contributes to Gatesheads position high up the leagues of economic deprivation. The jobs are... More

This shopping centre is massive! It's very impressive! We walked in were just like wow! Three is something for everyone! So many brands and shops to shop in. We could have spent all day in there! We even spent a cheeky half an hour on the arcades too like big kids! I recommend to everyone!

Visited the metro centre on the only wet day of a holiday in Northumberland. First visit for many years and what a disappointment. It has become a shabby, oversized 1980s - styled dump. Apart from a few high end shops, it was one empty unit after another with a few Poundland type shops in between. In its day it was... More
