Our first visit to the famed Metrocentre. Easy to find and plenty of parking, we went on the Sunday. This place is huge, very spacious, warm and friendly. The little train is a delight to see with the children sat in with beaming smiles. We stayed for a couple of hours and did a bit of shopping, did not eat... More

Ashame the metro doesn't go directly there yet!!! Do not miss the metrognomes shows in the kids holidays! They are fab. We often go just to see them, and the shopping is a bonus.

I know I live very near the Metro Centre and it sort of my local shops but I must tell every one who visits the region to not miss out on a visit. Free parking, you don't often get that. No need to wear a coat at anytime of year, unlike Newcastle city centre where coats on for outside and... More

Far too big, was unable to find an exit, kept going round in circles. There were some nice shops in it, buit on the whole every mall seemed to have duplicate shops

By far the biggest and best indoor shopping centre in the region, the area where the majority of restaurants used to be is currently closed which was a shame as there were some good places to eat there. Lots of large well known stores.

I always plan a visit to the metro Centre when I visit my family in the area.It has lots of shops both chain and novelty, plus many eating places and family attractions. The metro Centre however is beside a very busy road, so try to avoid rush hour traffic (Centre is open from 10am-9pm) The overall area around the metro... More

When the MetroCentre first opened, it was regaled as the best thing since sliced bread. Yes it's a shopping mall, yes it has all the chain stores that you would expect, yes it has cafes and restaurants, yes it's easy to get to and it has lots of car parks. Sadly it is also always busy and always far too... More

Every time we visit newcastle we fit in a day at the metrocentre. There are so many shops, there has to be something for everyone. We spend hours here, not only because we get lost, but we love shopping! Plenty of coffee shops to have a break at and plenty of places to eat too. This has got to be... More

A very big centre which in parts is jusf large outlets but it does have some different shops which are not part of chains and unique to the cnetre. Every time we go, we find interesting stuff we dont see elsewhere. Plan for a day out.
