Looks great and really helps to make the Quayside an interesting place to see and be seen. But I dislike the way that SOME cyclists take little or no care when there are other users around and especially little kids. They think the bridge belongs to them!

A beautifull modern bridge which was being raised for river traffic as we arrived. Contrasts superbly with the iconic Tyne Bridge a few hundre meters away.

This bridge is an iconic feature of Newcastle and Gateshead quaysides. Beautifully lit once the sun goes down and seats to sit on to enjoy a tranquil moment overlooking the river Tyne.

We stayed in the Ramada Encore which is a 5 min walk from this bridge. Ideal for crossing to the Newcastle side. Riverside walks on both sides and a lovely sand pit and deck chairs on the walk.

Couldn't walk across this wonderful landmark as it was broken when we were there, we were told half an hour so had a coffee at the Baltic Museum cafe, an hour later we got directions from a guard to the next bridge and had to walk over that. Bit disappointed as we really wanted to take photos on there.

A wonderful example of 21st century bridge building. The blinking eye effect is immensely impressive and the surroundings of the Sage building on one side of the river Tyne and the walk to the Newcastle side is impressive. I recommend anybody to visit this attraction, a must see.

Provides foot and bicycle access across the Tyne and is a fascinating piece of design and engineering and in the right place in this area once famed around the world for its engineering skills and design. Fascinating to see it operated at midday as a tourist attraction
