Ok it's a bridge. But the view is great I a sunny day. Start in Gateshead. Go to the Sage. The walk the bridge and your in Newcastle. You can see the Tyne and the quay side. Lots of bars to enjoy a drink.you get a brilliant photo of the iconic Tyne bridge. It's worth a walk.

Beautifully designed and functional too. Reinforces the already world famous Tyne Quayside area. The perfect way to reach the Baltic from Newcastle too.

We were lucky; both times we arrived it did its party piece! Not a lot more to add really, it is an amazing piece of engineering, but I think the novelty may wear a bit thin after a few visits!

I can marvel at the engineering and the lights, and Its worth waiting to watch it if you don't have to wait long, although I personally would wait more than 15 minutes. the light show at night highlights the whole thing. Its not one of the wonders of the world but it is something to see if you happen to... More

Good to see it open to let boats through. Good access to the Quayside bars and resturants. Looks good.

If you are ever in the area of Newcastle/Gateshead this is one of the must see attractions , if you happen to be around at midday , the bridge is tilted, just for show, It also changes colour at nightime.

People say it's just a bridge but, what a magnificent piece of modern engineering this is. I was lucky enough to be there when the bridge was in operation and it was wonderful to see. The operator was very friendly and told us all about the bridge and his it worked. I also saw the bridge at night and it... More

It's a bridge. Coloured lights but still a bridge! What else is there to say? Crossing it gave my life meaning.
