Very beautiful with the colour changing, lovely to see at night and just a nice little stroll over. There are lovely restraunts on both side of the river and nice to have a meal or drink and watch the changing of the lights

Excellent bridge. Fits in well with others along our fab river. AT night time with the lights it is just stunning! It took me a while to walkover it but it's not as scary as I thought it would be so if I can do it...

Saw the bridge after dark on New Year's Eve. A brilliant combination with the Sage lit up and the Quayside fireworks.

When staying at "The Hilton " a favourite walk is ,on The Gateshead quayside, past "The Sage" and "Baltic" to the Millennium Bridge.Walk steady across and stop in the middle and look to the left. You then have a great view of the other 3 bridges,Tyne,Swing and High Level. If you then feel like some extra inspiration listen to "Big River" by... More

Visited the millennium bridge on my visit to Newcastle on the 27th December. By the time we got to the bridge it was dark, the bridge was illuminated and looked like a rainbow with its multi coloured lighting, the bridge also gives a reflection in the water make it look spectacular! I was intrigued by the construction of the bridge,... More

Perhaps it is. It looks gorgeous at night, and is a great way for a pedestrian to cross the Tyne. I love it!

it is always brilliant to see the Millennium bridge but when it is light up at night it just makes the river seem more alive

Very slick and beautiful. Especially during the night with the lights and the backdrop, the whole place looks picturesque. Nice to walk across and enjoy the views from the bridge.

I love to travel back to Newcastle by train & look along the river to the 5 bridges. The Millenium Bridge is one of the most beautiful and is a brilliant piece of engineering when it opens up to let ships go through. A modern day masterpiece on the Tyne.
