Not being a pottery fan I was prepared to give this a miss, but I'm so glad I was persuaded to go. This unusual building was quirky when it was built and is still quirky thanks to the current slightly eccentric owners who are mines of information about the own's history and this place in particular. The pottery is a... More

Interesting local history combined with local artistry. The Pottery run by local artist and his wife, offers art classes and pottery classes. A friendly couple happy to impart local knowledge of this historical site (built into the medieval wall) and answer -questions, ably assisted by local staff also on hand to guide you through the buildings with even more interesting... Visited 21/05/15 What a cracking wee place!! Hosts were incredible. Warm welcome by Mrs Ernie made us feel at ease and welcome straight away. We then did a twirl on the potters wheel with great results. Ernie has the patience of a saint and is able to guide and help you in any way you need. I felt silly for... More

The first place we visited on our first day exploring Yarmouth and so glad it was. A warm welcome, tons of history plus a living working arts and crafts centre inside the medieval city wall. Informative, surprising and warm and hosted by Mr and Mrs Yarmouth, genuine locals who are passionate about the place and its history.

This unique slightly quirky venue provides an excellent insight into an important part of the history of the town. We booked a combined pottery lesson and tour of the museum (very reasonably priced) and we had a wonderful time. The lesson was fun and informative, giving you a go on the wheel and producing a piece of pottery to bring... More
