Visited the potteries for the first time with two (adult) friends - and what an amazing place we found! From the moment you step through the ancient door, to the sound of the jangling bell, you are transported back through time. You are greeted with the high ceilings and blackened walls of the smokehouse and magnificent seascapes in the dark... More

Stumbled across this attraction on our way to another museum on the same road, pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it. The Lady and Gent who run the attraction are very informative and really give you a good idea of the history of the place. Made us feel very welcome and I think the personal touch was lovely which made... More

Went here today and was blown away. So much history in one building and great fun too. Had a go at making a jug on a potters wheel and enjoyed every minute of the visit. Not to much to add, great place and lovely people, will be back.

We went here using a Groupon voucher and it was a most interesting morning. First up was being taught the intricacies of the potters wheel with the help of Ernie Childs. Ernie is well-known on the arts scene in Great Yarmouth and shows the work of some his art classes at the Yarmouth Arts Festival every June. We then had... More

This was a fantastic random find as we walked around Great Yarmouth. Dog and pushchair friendly and an amazing sense of discovery as you explored all the nooks and crannies of this stunning little place - I hesitate to call it a museum, it's more like you're an invited guest to a living exhibit of the past. With bags of... More

I went here on a whim while waiting for my van to be fixed, and I'm glad I did. Very interesting it was too. A nice bit of informative history and a bit of fun as well. Recommended!

Better than we expected. A really informative day out for the whole family. I would recommend that children be at least junior school age to appreciate the experience.

We had intended to visit the Time and Tide Museum, but were denied admission as we had a small dog with us..... however, we were made very welcome at the Pottery opposite which turned out to also have a magnificent old smoker, a delightful courtyard café and a most interesting display of local pottery and paintings. The owners were most... More
