Halifax minster goes back many centuries. On the walls of the church inside, there's inscriptions recording the lives of Haligonians hundreds of years ago, which is touching by itself. The building's interior is expansive, made all the more beautiful by the painted glass artwork. There's a small shop which offers religious items aswell as postcards, books and DVDs about Halifax... What a enlightening visit with a group of special needs students, the staff who were at the Minster were very helpful an considerate to the needs of our students. The Minster is an absolutely stunning church with a lot of local history. Well worthy of a visit.

This is a beautiful building that continues to be a central hub for Christians in Halifax. For historians it is packed. The ceiling in the Nave is particularly impressive as is the organ. The welcome is always warm and tea and coffee are available on request.

My daughter was baptised in this Minster a year ago, my wife and I didn't know what to expect regarding the building, or the vicar but on both accounts we were very happy. The Minster is very welcoming friendly, and the Minster building itself is quite frankly stunning. It's so well hidden from the bustle of the town it really... More

I've been to 2 gigs at the Minster now and it's a wonderful venue and heartily recommended. Even if you're not attending a gig, it's worth popping your head in to see how grand the building is inside.

The Minster dates back in part to the late 15th century and is a beautifully preserved, most magnificient structure. The present organ dates back to 1928-29 and has the most wonderful sound. Well worth a visit although I don't think I will climb the bell tower again!

We were passing the Minster when we decided to park up and go inside. I'm so glad we did. The Minster grounds are beautiful, set above road level, surrounded by trees to one side and to the rear, a courtyard, behind which stands the wonderful Causey Hall, a Grade II listed building. The outside of the Minster is full of... More
