Ogden Water is a pleasant mix of woodland and reservoir, with a quick walk round the lake option (only takes about 30 mins on a purposeful stroll) and some options for longer walks. One easy detour is to enter the woodland from the car park, go right (clockwise) and after about 10 mins along the path, you'll cross a small... More

Brilliant walk set off in sunshine finished in rain, still wonderful views in all directions over the moors Ogden Clough and the wind farms called in the visitor centre for a coffee then walked round the reservoir to add a mile or so to the walk. Super walk in all weather.Toilet facilities available. Small charge for using the car park... More

It is lovely to stroll around Ogden water I have been lots of times the only thing that spoils it is the Dog owners who let their dogs off leads and do not clean up after them for that reason we hardly ever go now such a shame

absolutely stunning place to visit, lucky enough to live close by, the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life and just take in this unspoilt spot of beauty, great for walking, great training ground for runners, ideal on a summers day to take a picnic and enjoy some quality family time with the... This is a nice walk around Ogden Water you have a choice of staying on the path or rambling through the woods. The woods offer interesting sculpture s to look at and find but they are space and average. The downside is that there are quite a few holes in the fencing/barriers that dogs and children can get through putting... More

I'm a regular visitor to Ogden Water and am never disappointed come rain or shine! If you've got plenty of time, you can walk up through the woods up to the wind turbines (particularly good if you're a parent and want a quiet evening as it tires the kiddies out). The cafe/information point serves hot drinks from a rather superior... More

Ogden waters is a great place but its very tiring! Its like a forest place with a path going around the river which is very tiring because it tires you if you go tae a water bottle because you get thirsty! I would reccomed this to walkers but not to people who hte walking long distances!

Went here as near but just so much concrete everywhere and place feels false. A bit chavvy with booming music in cars with people just sat in the car and people with really aggressive rough dogs. Not a place I'd go back to. Might be nicer very first thing early morning.
