This was a fantastic half day tour that took us around the Nature Reserve of the island of Noss. We were taken around the island to the spectacular cliffs that housed thousands of nesting birds. We were also shown what lies beneath the sea via an underwater camera. There were some surprises here.

This is a fantastic trip round the islands of Bressay and Noss. The birdlife on Noss in particular is fabulous to watch - esp the gannets, razorbills and guillemots. Our guides were knowledgeable, generous and kind. We also enjoyed the underwater microscope and seeing plankton for the first time. And oh! Our boat was followed by a skua so we... More

We looked for and found the number for this trip on the notice at the Harbour where passed experience told us that the trip started. We rang and booked the Discovery trip which we found t be interesting and enjoyable. They have a new vessel since our previous trip some 4 years ago. This time we travelled in even more... More

We had a really enjoyable afternoon with Ross and Ian the skipper and first mate. The afternoon was made even more enjoyable by the flat calm conditions allowing us to get really close to the sea birds. And the underwater camera was a real bonus. Ross & Ian proved both knowledgeable and friendly. If you get a chance to vist... More

Highly recommended trip to Noss to see gannets and a huge range of other birds and wildlife including very inquisitive seals who are happy to come up close to the boat. Well organised, comfortable and informative, this was a great trip for everyone in our group, even those not so interested in the birds but it's a great way of... More

An excellent, and at times exhilarating experience, as we rode the waves with our experienced and well informed skipper. Being neither ornithologists or geologists we returned from the trip determined to learn more. John, ably assisted by Kayleigh, not only introduced to this beautiful island but we're a fount of knowledge on bird and sea life. A brilliant trip. Thank... More

This was a fantastic boat trip (lasts about 3 hours) around the islands of Noss and Bressay, which are just off Lerwick. We left from Lerwick harbour and were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, particularly the captain. We immediately saw seals on one of the small, uninhabited islands near Bressay, which was a good photo opportunity (there were... More
