Professional, educational and interesting tour. The shop also has lots of good highland park products and souvenirs
Visited the distillery, who's Whisky I enjoy since 2 years. James brought us on a very informative and in depth tour around the distillery, incl. floor maltings, kiln, mashing room, still room and warehouse. It is absolutely fab to see where your favourite Whisky is made and how. Yet it's still magic how the clear new spirit is transformed into... More
James, our guide, took us on a wonderfully fun and informative tour. It was very interesting to see how the "World's Best Spirit" is made and to try some at the end. It also provided a nice cultural and historical link to the region we're visiting. They also have a great gift shop.
My sister and I visited the distillery and had the best time on our tour with James. We got to walk all around and learn about the whisky making process. At the end we got to try some delicious whisky and the little shop has some great items for sale. Walkable from town, which is nice.
We were staying on the Island of Mainland for four days and, having some time to spare, we visited this place not expecting too much. We had visited some distilleries in the Highlands before but the way we experienced whiskey making over here was different. These people love what they are doing and you can feel it. The way everything... More
We didn't have time to do the tour but wish we did, just walking to the visitor center was interesting, the buildings are very picturesque. Looks like a very different time. We also saw the intro video and it was very well done, great cinematography. The logo is great and there are some very nice looking items in the gift... More
We had seen that the distillery did tours but we decided to drop in as passing to see if we could go. Got on the tour straight away with no waiting - just went in at the right time. The tour stars with a short video then go around the different departments. Photographs are allowed in all but one area.... More
We've "done" quite a few distillery tours and Highland Park has to be one of the best. Graham was our guide...excellent & informative chap. Great banter with us seasoned Whisky drinkers/distillery tour folk and the other couple on the tour who were less experienced. He matched the talk & answered all our questions. No high pressure selling either...just the chance... More
The whole visit was highly educational, our guide Ross, an Australian, was very good. We all enjoyed the visit and the tasting.
We really enjoyed our visit to the distillery. The tour was interesting and informational, and our guide friendly. And the whisky tasting at the end was delicious!
