We are a whisky association from the Netherlands. After visiting a lot distilleries we came to Highland Park today with great expectations. We had contact moths in advance to book a tour, but not more than only the standard one was available at that time. Today we tried to get a bit more and they were not willing to listen.... More

As a group of whiskyfriends we came a long way from The Netherlands to visit the distillery of one of our favourite whisky's, Highland Park. We talked to the senior guide at the visitors center and asked him for the possibilites to do some special. Het made it VERY clear that there were at that moment only two standard tours... More

Beautyfull dist. But very disappointing tour. 20 pounds for a quick tour and very poor drams at the end. Too commercial I guess.

What a very dissapointing tour. We have been to over 50 distilleries and this was the worst ever. We got the idea the guy wanted to end his working day as soon as possible. The nosing and tasting should be the most exciting event of the tour. For us it was the most dissapointinh experience ever. They didn't took the... More

Dear Robert I was very disappointed to hear that you thought your tour was the worst tour ever. I cannot comment on the attitude of the guide that day but our Best Spirit tour has been one of the most popular for the last three years. We have had various different expressions on this tour and at the moment it... More

We came all the way to Highland Park. Lovely whisky. High expectations! But what a disapointing visit we get... Quick tour with a non inspiring guide. 3 drams in the shop, what a shame! The glasses where hardly filled, very disapointing. Having a 20 pound dram in a shop with children around and no seats, very disapointing. What a shame... More

The Highland Park tour is well-organized and demonstrates the traditional way that they do everything related to the creation of their single malt Scotch Whiskey. The tour begins with a brief video, then a sip of Scotch. The tour includes the malting floor where the malt is hand-turned, the kilns where the local peat is burned to smoke the barley,... More

Dear John Thank you for writing a lovely review of your visit to Highland Park. I was concerned to hear that your bottle of 21 year old had broken in transit. That is a great shame but the baggage handlers at the airport are extremely rough with the baggage although our packaging is quite robust it would always require extra... More

Best distillery tour I've done (I've done a few) worthy or its "best whisky in the world" title. Incredibly friendly attentive, well informed staff. Clearly very proud of their distillery and Whisky. Amazing to see all the traditional methods still employed today. throughly recommend this to anyone visiting Orkney. Huge thanks to Amanda for truly making it a day to... More

Toured Highland Park again this summer. Nice little tour as only 6 of us in the tour. Short film followed by a tour of the facility. Tour guide very knowledgeable and we tasted a wee dram at end of tour and kept our Highland Park scotch glass. Only downside was that malting floor was empty so didn't see them turning... More

HI there Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your visit to the Distillery. I am please that you found it a memorable trip and I am sorry you didn't get to see our floor malting. This is just a production issue as there are certain days that the malt is still in the steeps when... More

I bought the Magnus Eunson tour as a gift for my husband and it was money well spent. The tour was for only a few people so there was plenty of time to ask questions and look around. Our guide was excellent and taught us a lot not only about Highland Park whisky but how to taste a whisky to... More
