I saw Paddington Bear here and loved the film. Nothing about the cinema put me off or reduced my enjoyment of the film in any way. Adequate, sound, picture quality etc. The prices for drinks and food are pretty ridiculous so my top tip is that if you haven't had time to eat, buy a pizza from the fabulous Croma... More

Decided to stop off in this towns odeon to watch a film. What a mistake ! Ticket prices to match modern plush cinemas yet delivering rubbish. Drinks/food to match sky high prices. Im happy to pay more to get more or pay less to get less. Its no wonder people break the law and opt for pirate discs at home... More

We have been going to the Reel cinema for some time now however I keep carping onto the manager at this cinema to show movies at at more reasonable time in the evenings that is to say start a movie at 7.00pm or 7.30pm as I really have got past the point of coming out of a movie at 11.30pm... More

For the same price as the multiplexes this really isn't worth it. The screen we were in (5) was hot with no air con, it smelt rather unpleasant and at quieter times of our movie, we could hear the sound from the adjoining screen.

Firstly the price seems steep as it matches the bid air conditioned cinemas with plush seats... You felt a little like you were in a time warp to the 80's. The food was massively over priced and the sound quality is poor! The bit that takes this review from average to poor was the utter state of the toilets paint... More

Been twice now, hoping that my first experience was a one-off in terms of poor quality. But nope, same on both occasions. The sound is very poor for a cinema, made worse by the lack of soundproofing meaning you can clearly hear the sound from other films. The picture quality is okay. But for the steep prices charged, this is... More

I love that we have a cinema in our town and showing the latest films, but there is a however; our last 3 visits the screens we have been in were very cold! Had to put coats back on and I did leave the screening to go tell a member of staff as everyone in there was cold, but they... More

I love the town cinema. Small, cosy, but still managing to show all the big blockbusters and other films in the 8 (?) screens. Sympathetically restored art deco façade and entrance hall, this cinema was originally built as the Empire in about 1914.

I liked the old curzon. But the prices have risen twice since the Odeon took over the cinema and very little seems to have been done to improve the facilities. The air conditioning has been chilling on a couple of occasions so we have had to keep our coats on. It is great that it is a multiplex so there... More

A few screens showing cleverly a wide range of movies across the screens, good sound system and 3D available, with plenty of popcorn and others to purchase !
