I love that we have a cinema in our town and showing the latest films, but there is a however; our last 3 visits the screens we have been in were very cold! Had to put coats back on and I did leave the screening to go tell a member of staff as everyone in there was cold, but they... More

I love the town cinema. Small, cosy, but still managing to show all the big blockbusters and other films in the 8 (?) screens. Sympathetically restored art deco façade and entrance hall, this cinema was originally built as the Empire in about 1914.

I liked the old curzon. But the prices have risen twice since the Odeon took over the cinema and very little seems to have been done to improve the facilities. The air conditioning has been chilling on a couple of occasions so we have had to keep our coats on. It is great that it is a multiplex so there... More

A few screens showing cleverly a wide range of movies across the screens, good sound system and 3D available, with plenty of popcorn and others to purchase !

Saw Gravity in 3D in screen 1 yesterday evening with my girlfriend. The film was excellent, but unfortunately this isn't a film review. The cinema itself is seriously sub-standard, and I doubt we'll be returning any time soon. The main reason for this is because the auditorium was that cold that we both kept our outdoor coats on throughout the... More

The screens are small for a cinema and the prices are expensive. But I guess that is true for every cinema brand.

The cinema has been done up with a wine bar and traditional style cinema decor. It is expensive and you can pay to go to nicer cinemas in Leicester like the odeon or the showcase at high cross... But it has an easy location with cheap parking near by and I have fond memories of visiting it as a child.... More

A small cinema which has advantages but sound quality variable from average to poor. Can also suffer from noise from adjoining screens which can be distracting. Had hoped that when Odeon took it over, the facilities would improve but all that seems to have happened is that the prices have gone up.
