On a recent family holiday to Wroxham we decided to visit this hall. We took the train to the station of the same name and walked the 2 miles to the hall past an impressive looking thatched school. Thankfully I had a map because signs was non-existent. Once at the hall we plumped for the joint ticket of hall and... More

Inside Somerleyton Hall it really was very impressed with Pictures of Lord's Somerleyton family, Beautiful rooms , and the guide told you about... More

fantastic gardens to walk round and the café is wonderful lovely cakes and food well presented and served by lovely ladies. the solstice was very poorly attended with very few musicians scattered all over the gardens playing at the same time so if you watched one you missed the other ! one young blonde female member of the staff was... We moored at Somerleyton Staithe during our Broads boating holiday and walked to to the village initially -- what a beautiful little place it is! Chocolate box setting. Then we saw the sign for Somerleyton Hall, so set off to walk there. Unfortunately it was closed --we were there on a Wednesday! However we decided to walk up the drive... More

We moored at Somerleyton during our Southern Broads boat hire and walked to Somerleyton Hall. The staff there were very amenable and friendly and the hall we thought was pretty special. We enjoyed a very well conducted and informative tour of the hall. The hall has interesting architectural features and a varied history funded more recently by moguls of the Industrial... More

Firstly I must say that the house and gardens are absolutely stunning but our visit was marred by the lack of disabled access. My husband has a wheel chair and due to there being no motorised scooter/buggy I had to push him around the site which was ok while on the gravelled pathways but near impossible on grassed areas. There... More

If the weather is good then give this place a visit. £6.50 for the garden £11 if you include the house tour. The tour is the only reason I give this 4 out of 5 and not 5. We are not big on organised tours, preferring to look around at are own pace. The gardens are beautiful if a little... More

Although not the largest stately homes I've visited it is a very nice place to go. The house is beautiful but you cannot roam at leisure, its a guided tour only. My enjoyment was mostly spent in the gardens which are very impressive, well designed and maintained. Entrance costs are reasonable too but perhaps they could offer a voucher to... More
