The Crumblies toured Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, Norfolk.Road signage for coaches is rather poor and the entrance road is narrow and long. After an initial greeting our party was split into two House tour groups. Hope you like family portraits? Trees are big in their garden. It’s a quarter of a mile in and a quarter of a mile out….it’s... More

Somerleyton Hall and gardens is situated near Somerleyton village which is different from all the other villages in England. The houses look different, so that you are the feeling of being in a fairy tale. Magnificent! The estate is not far from the village and it has a beautiful garden with huge old trees. Something in the architecture of the... More

Called here after reading reviews and was not disapointed..we were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. Took the 12 noon tour and were shown round by Barbara and Christine the two tour guides who spoke really well with passion and knowledge. The hall was interesting but not many rooms to view. The gardens were interesting with some beautiful trees... More

We visited here with my husband and mum in a wheelchair. The driveway upto the hall was long and picturesque. The gardens are well maintained and beautiful, the walk down to the hall was really pleasant with lots to see and statues, the hall itself inside was excellent the tour guides were exceptionally informative, it had tracks down in all... We had a great few hours wandering around the beautiful gardens and visiting the historic house. The guides were amazing with plenty of knowledge and stories to tell.

We were stuck in Lowestoft without a car on a rainy day. The train journey to Somerleyton was short. There is absolutely nothing at the station and about 40 minute walk to the hall; a brisk walk in the rain so we weren't hanging about. The grounds were lovely, on a dry day, but no where to shelter. Any green... More

My partner and I spent four happy hours visiting Somerleyton Hall and gardens. The wisteria was just going over but gave a wonderful impression of what it must have looked like a week or so back. The gardens are well maintained with some truly impressive trees. We arrived at 10am and was given a house tour time of 11.30 which... More
