Visited in easter and was a lovely day red hot. Enjoyed the gardens especially the maze our little girl loved running around it. With a kids quiz to do on the way around the gardens they never get bored. The hall is absolutely gorgeous. Very nice day out

I've visited the Cafe at Somerleyton Hall many times - sometimes for a visit to the Hall and gardens and sometimes just for lunch in the Cafe This year the rules have been changed and it's not possible just to visit the Cafe - there is a charge (£11.90 for my mum and me) to visit the gardens.- not something... Total lack of knowledge by tour guide. Only interested in talking on a personal level about family who are resident, which was of no interest to me. Perhaps the Lord in residence could pay for a bit more training and try to introduce a wider vocabulary... everything was described as "lovely". It wasn't.

A fabulous House and Gardens experience. Some beautiful rooms to wander through and the gardens are lovely in summertime. Don't miss the maze. Always a great favourite, and a visit to the tearoom is also essential.

I've lived near Somerleyton Hall for many years and I've never been able to do the maze first time! The Hall is a shadow of it's former self but still worth a visit. Refreshments are available at the usual inflated prices. It's where the earliest experiments were made during the development of hovercraft.

We popped in here when picking up some raffle prizes that Somerleyton Hall had kindly donated to the Looked After Children of Lowestofts Christmas party. The staff are wonderfully helpful.

The Hall itself is pretty bog-standard stately home (sorry Hugh!), but the gardens are really charming and the cafe food excellent. Good place to explore and take lots of photos. Tucked away off the beaten track, so never seems too over run by tourists. Lovely plave to spend a sunny afternoon, and if you ever get invited to an event... More

We went visited here in the summer and had a lovely time. The tour was very interesting and we then spent a long time looking around the grounds which were stunning. The tea room was lovely as well, I would definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely location and house/gardens but the day was ruined to discover they were killing wildlife and when confronted the estate manager turned nasty so we left and would never go back.
