We saw the road signs so followed them. Thought we had missed it but kept going and extremely glad we did. Well presented museum, larger than first thought, with lots of interesting information and displays. Needed more time to visit than the hour we had. Wheelchair accessible from side entrance. Stewards very welcoming and informative. Set in gardens with a... More

This was my first visit to the museum. We were given a warm welcome by the steward issuing tickets, who pointed out several activities that might be of interest to the 7-year-old in our party. Entrance cost £2 for adults and 50p for children. There were many hands on activities for children, and plenty of exhibits to interest the adults.... More

A very interesting place to visit. There are many artifacts on show. All with a good description about them. A pleasent place to visit while you are in the park. Then have refreshments in the sparrows nest restaurant. A nice day out.

Only popped in as it was raining the only rainy day we had on our holiday. free to get in just left a donation. Small museum with a lot in it really good insight in to the history of the lowestoft area and fascinating maritime stories. Worth a look.

This place is always a delight and feels like a tardis as the small frontage gives way to a whole host of displays. The staff go out of their way to help you, even drying out our soaked coats on one occasion.

The displays were immaculate, easy explanations. Any one who is interested in maritime history should visit. There is a great welcome from the volunteers. The small entrance fee is well within anyone's budget. So glad we went
